I can't help but assume the Walt in the opening scene of the season was a CHANGED MAN. I feel like somehow, before that moment, he is going to be humbled somehow. |
Totally agree with this.

Well yeah, because he's on the run. So by that point his short-lived "empire" will come crashing down. And I'm guessing at least a few of his family members will be dead at that point.

I like how both his birthdays were polar opposites. Walt didn't want any kind of celebration for his 50th, and was mildly annoyed when Skyler surprised him with a huge party, and then on his 51st he "demanded" a party and was annoyed when Skyler just threw a low-key dinner
Just shows how much Walt has changed

Lol love the birthday scenes there Hupu, pure change from 50 to 52. Can't wait to see what leads Walt to his depressed 52nd birthday and on the run. The twitter fucks are just trolls who want more action and don't seem to care about character which is what this show is clearly about.

Poor Walt Junior. He got ripped off a half piece of bacon!
I liked the episode though. Jesse has seemed to get more heroic in this process. Before he didn't really care about anything but now he's saving crazy ladies' lives and buying birthday gifts.
the scenes with Skylar and walter were bone chilling though. He has really turned into quite the meanie.

It was probably my favorite episode when it comes to CAPERS. SERIOUSLY MY HEART DURING THOSE LAST 5 MINUTES.
But still I wish there was more character stuff. I've really loved how small this season's been, putting the focus back on Walt's family and how he effects them, etc. This was probably the absolute biggest thing the show's ever done, and there wasn't much room for INTERACTION. Though I did like Skyler being over her state, and now trying to protect the kids.
Speaking of kids, what the fuck Todd :(
