It doesn't matter how close he was. Interference is interference is interference. Shitty call on the refs and it really fucks me off that 2 of our 3 losses this season were handed to us by the REFS and not the opposing team on the field. |
Word to Raptor's mother. The NYJ penalty was the right call, but this was undoubtedly the wrong call. |
Was the batted ball in the Miami game the right call? |
Hellz yeah. | Please ask me on October 1st if they woke me up. I've literally never heard it before and I'm definitely not tired of it. |

Friends,
Look at the rules according to the NFL.
Actions that constitute defensive pass interference include but are not limited to:
(a) Contact by a defender who is not playing the ball and such contact restricts the receiver’s opportunity to make the catch.
Actions that do not constitute pass interference include but are not limited to:
...
(c) Contact that would normally be considered pass interference, but the pass is clearly uncatchable by the involved players.
Are you telling me that "the pass is clearly uncatchable"? Not possibly, but clearly. Gronk clearly couldn't catch the ball if 59 wasn't forcing him back?

Yeah, it kinda does. You can make as much contact as you want if the ball's not catchable |
Nothing is uncatchable with Gronk. I've seen him make drop down catches for 3 years now. He had a chance. |
So he's never dropped a pass in his career? |
It was a hyperbole, but gronks opportunity was robbed from him.

I think we are reading too much into this. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

Let's be real though. The Patriots are still going to make the playoffs (just look at their schedule after the Broncos) so this hardly matters.
And they are also not going to do shit in the playoffs. Too many injuries on defence along with an inexperienced/mostly new receiving unit. Brady is good, but he has taken the Pats as far as he can go now. No more Super Bowls for him.

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but look how long it takes for the clock to stop after the Ginn TD.
http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2013111800/2013/REG11/patriots@panthers#menu=highlights&tab=recap
I know stopping the clock a second late happens a lot. But when it's 3-4 seconds after the TD is scored that's a bit rediculous. Ginn is already running towards the goal post before the clock stops.

I just watched it again and there is NO FUCKING WAY that shit was "uncatchable." The bearhug started RIGHT. NEXT. to the defender who intercepted the ball. Bullshit call, bullshit ending. | Please ask me on October 1st if they woke me up. I've literally never heard it before and I'm definitely not tired of it. |

Ball was intercepted at the same time the holding or w/e was in the process of occurring.
