I normally don't like child actors at all but the kid in this was so good. Probably the most convincing young actor I've seen and he was playing such a unique/complex role too

I watched Fury Road again but I still haven't managed to catch it before it starts so I can actually see the beginning. I don't care enough about seeing the very beginning to deal with Fios's on demand menus, so I'll just wait until I eventually see it in the guide before it starts. Tonight I actually caught it between the beginning and the sandstorm, so that was nice.

I just watched the 1983 classic The Outsiders. It's been a long time. I'm going to start watching movies more often. lol

Anomalisa

might top Synecdoche as Kaufman's most depressing movie. I...don't really know what to think about it. It had some very poignant moments but as a whole it didn't really come together for me. Definitely an interesting watch though. Very unique as always

Eternal Sunshine > Synecdoche > Adaptation > Malkovich > Anomalisa

Beetlejuice

We watched this with the kids just the other day- they love it.

For my daughter's sleepover party, we watched Corpse Bride followed by Princess Bride.

I watched The Nut Job today - an animated family film about a squirrel and heist of a nut shop to feed the animals that live in a park. I've never heard of it before, but there's some big names providing the voices (Liam Neeson, Maya Rudolph, Katharine Heigl, Will Arnett). It was enjoyable for what it was. I wanted to watch it because the main character was a squirrel.

Has anyone seen Whiskey Tango Foxtrot or Spotlight? I'm in the mood to go to the movies this weekend, but these are the only two movies playing at the local theater I can walk to. Neither looks like something I'd like but there's not a lot else to do around here tbh.

Spotlight is very good, although not all that exciting. It's a good watch if you want something documentary-like with just a few dramatic moments
