Gee, I felt like this 10 years ago.

I've never played any of these games besides the few times I've dicked around with San Andreas at a friends house. TO MAKE UP FOR THIS, I'm gonna play San Andreas right now because I remembered that Shawn DL'd it awhile ago. This'll basically be my first experience with GTA at all. If I like it enough maybe I'll buy GTAV soon

Been playing for a few hours, amazing stuff so far. The only complaint I have is the iFruit bullshit with Chop but at least it only affects one minor thing that I don't really care about much. '

Really, really impressed with how much detail is in this game. When I was playing as Michael, I walked through a fountain while cutting through town on foot and the half bottom of his pants stayed wet. When I was Franklin I hopped over a highway rail and nearly killed myself from fall damage. He kept a big ass cut on his forehead and a few other minor scrapes until I got him home to sleep/save. Just kind of blows me away that they really thought to pay attention to small little things like that.

I'll echo Jeff on the transitions, those are really sweet. I also love how cutscenes are integrated with the open world play. No more black screen with the mission name and waiting for everything to render. It all happens as soon as you walk to where you need to go. Same with shops, which is why I rarely went into them in SA. Fantastic!

Lamar and Franklin remind me so much of CJ and Ryder in the early SA missions, haha.

Can't wait to dive more into the story. Still very, very early in and haven't really done much at all. I just like walking around, fucking around with peds and exploring. Although I am very very sad they took away the ability to pick up coffee cups/phones/etc off the ground and chucking them at people! That was the best part of GTA4, ugh :(

I was actually playing through SA a bit this morning to get prepared for GTAV. Fun times!

ALL 4 THE GROVE. haha....oh damn I still haven't switched back to the game due to skype and failbook shenanigans...now it went from radio to menu music, to PS3 shutdown...because of energy savings I guess....I don't even know where I saved...at frank's house I guess...haha.okay then...another dive into the nightlife...here I come...soon. argh... this game is the shit

Its just a placeholder, it could be the latest date possible, and start shipping as early as tomorrow, or even tonight if possible.

I got fucked over big time a few years back with one of the Call of Duty releases.

lol the San Andreas graphics are so hilariously bad. Compared to what we see nowadays of course. It's pretty funny

OMFG I can't fly the blimp without the cops being on my ass. They threw choppers at me until I exploded. Why can't I fly in the airport space?

Said to myself that I'd call it a night after I finally met Trevor but uh... now I really wanna play as him :(

Johnny from GTA TLAD showing up was cool but what a bitch ass way for him to go. Just stomped to death like nothing. That's a fucking GTA protagonist that just got put away like a random ped, hahaha. Seems Trevor's porking Ashley now, who was incredibly obnoxious in TLAD so hopefully she meets a similar fate soon as well. Trevor's a boss, yo. Lester mentioned Niko, but not by name, earlier in the game. Gotta wonder if any other main characters will stop by. Excited to find out! The heist missions are really cool in how you can set up your crew and how crew members improve. It increases replayability since several different outcomes could happen, so I'm already really hyped about that. I picked the good getaway driver cause I've been really bad with driving so far (Cop AI has improved like craaaazy, they're much smarter in pursuit), but a lousy gunman and the IT guy who couldn't figure out how to remove spyware from the LifeInvader mission. The gunman lolfailed and got himself killed but I'm gonna make that other dude a master hacker one day. It's my personal mission now.
