Chapter 6 / start of 7 + Well I got spoiled to Arthur dying thanks to Reddit / me not respecting spoiler tags there so I was expecting it to happen after any Dutch mission I did. I was fuming when Dutch left Arthur for dead in the oil mission, I was I ready to quickdraw on his ass, but Arthur just let it slide... What a pussy /Igor After that I decided to go on a train to do the shoot 5 birds while on a train challenge. I thought it was best to take out the guard in the back before I started shooting so I silently killed him without anyone seeing, but for whatever reason I got a bounty and the other guards and cops came after me, so I killed them like animals. I moved the train along so the cops would get off my ass, and since I already had a nice little bounty on me I decided to rob the train in the middle of nowhere, and I get ANOTHER much bigger bounty on my ass, like wtf there were no witnesses, so I did that twice and got like a $1k bounty on me across a few counties for like $100. And then I realize the fucking train has to be moving while you shoot the damn birds, so all of it was for nothing. The kicker happens soon after. I decide to ride to the nearest post office to pay off my bounty since bounty hunters are a pain, it was pretty close but I decided to auto ride and grab a drink or something and fucking bounty hunters ambush me seconds later, kill my beloved thoroughbred that I used most of the game and then me. So when my shitty horse from the beginning died in the last mission I couldn't have cared less lol. I'm guessing the mountain ending is the honorable ending, thinking of replaying it and choosing the money way. Anyway, the fight with Micah on the mountaintop was really tense and the exchange with Dutch was good. I really tried to push Micah down the mountain but Arthur turned him around when I tried... WTF Arthur. It seemed like Dutch finally believed him but still let that rat get away. Spoiler + Arthur gave John his satchel with his money at the end, but John has no money or items in the beginning, wtf John how did you spend it all and the big bag of cash in "a few years".

Yeah, one of the reasons why I kinda blasted through was because I was terrified I was going to get spoiled. I thought for sure I would on Facebook and can't believe I didn't. And I would have on YouTube thanks to people just fucking uploading screens and titles of Arthur's death with no consideration a few days after the game's release. I liked looking at RDR1 clips of Dutch throughout playing the game, especially his mountain speech. But it was dangerous with the related videos as they would pop up all the time and eventually I saw one literally a day after I got to the Epilogue. I still EXPECTED Arthur to die in some way due to the factor of him not being mentioned at all in the first game, but for some reason I was also expecting us to play as Charles over John and I have no idea why I thought that'd be a thing. It's funny how after RDR1 ended I was like "Aw, but John was so good, I don't wanna play as Jack". Now for me it was "Aw, but Arthur was so good, I don't wanna play as John". :(

post-Saint Denis + weeeelp, that was a ride. Poor Lenny :( I wish they had more of the pure bonding missions like the one with Lenny in the game cuz I think that's a big reason I felt waaay more for his death than Hosea's In the back of my mind I'm obviously aware that this is a prequel and know the general end state of this story but I was still irrationally hoping for the gang to pull it all off and escape to Tahiti. The Guarma thing I...DEFINITELY didn't see coming, never thought I'd be exploring a tropical island in this game. Kinda wish there was more to it tho rather than it seemingly just being a detour, could've been like the Mexico of this game where the world gets a whole lot bigger/more diverse unexpectedly I'm guessing the heartbreaks have only just begun now that the gang has officially started to crumble. I'm VRY worried about all the people left back at camp, there's no way the Pinkertons aren't gonna find them during the weeks that we'll be gone. It also seems likely Arthur's seen the last of Mary after their St Denis 'date' :(

I was extremely sad over both. Lenny was easily my favorite side character after the drinking mission and his role in Rhodes and for him to die just suddenly without fanfare was so brutal. Hosea was up there though. I loved all the missions he acted in character through, so great. Fishing and hunting with him was fun. That one where you fish with Dutch and Hosea, I literally sat out there catching fish for about an hour just listening to the chatter between the three of them. And yeah, Guarma is like one of the strangest things about this game to me. It feels so out of place and... as far as I know, there's no way to ever go back there again.

same here, got it on the 26th but probably will not go online before I finished the story, and I really don't want to rush things. I need to unlock more reinforced equipment, and meet more strangers, and findmore rock carvings etc....far from "having seen it all"

thoughts on what happened with the gang so far, after a long night yesterday I'm currently @ chapter 5, but you know.... "battery level very low"...so unfortunately I could not ride through and reach chapter 6. meh!

goddammit noooooo Lennyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :/ and hosea, just noes man! There had to be casualties, but it was unexpected at that point, the whole pinkerton ambush thing. I really start to hate that milton guy! guess there is a rat amidst the gang, could only be micah in my opinion. the way he is displayed on images with his guns crossed and such, maybe that was a hint from the get go. anyhow now I just got back to 'murrica, after that little impressive episode in guarma, moved to the swamps and soon gonna bust john out of prison. btw the first horse ride back on the mainland accompanied with music had a nice touch, definitely throwback vibes to RDR!

did you accompany her to the movies in st. denis, and try to "make a move" on her? I did, arthur wanted to put his arm around her but then decided not to when she looked at him, felt akwardly romantic in a way but led nowhere. I guess, that's the some gameplay/story part of the +5 hours R* said didn't make the cut, because something something. would have loved to see more arthur/mary missions/cutscenes. I very clearly remember that one scene, early on when mary said she'd owe him and while already on his way arthur just turned around shortly and said "you already owe me". it made their connection seem so deep, they must have some serious history and there was a geat vibe to it, kind of like han solo's "I know" in response to princess leia's "I love you".

So the update came and I'm pretty sure they fixed the horses falling on the rocks, since I haven't ALL DAY.

Found out you can just buy all the satchels at fences, so you could just power through the story and buy them in the time it would take to hunt all the materials to make them...

^my horse is still failing now and then, or I'm just too much of an optimistic rider, you know, just....WORK YA DAMN NAG!

btw I had a "brilliant" idea last night which I should have come up with weeks ago. well, classic me! did I tell you how I only get to play at night and thus never been able to crank up the volume? last night I just plugged in cheap headphones (never done that in the 4 years I own the PS4) and suddenly the game experience is VERY intense! the gunshots just go BANG BANG, killing my eardrums, but I LOVE it! ;D

PS: I never knew there was such a long echo of the gunshot in the intro! like it was fired off in the mountains...so cool!

also, I went out to buy a USB stick to finally grab all the screenshots. and I went to that photo booth and made 2 awesome pictures but social club seemingly didn't save those. BUMMER! will upload some images here soon

I was hoping to dick around on Online before work but it's still not up for me. I definitely bought and played on the 26th. I even have a message from Rockstar when i boot the game up saying Online is now open, but it only says Coming Soon for me when I try to play it :(

This is where my jealousy and fear of missing out creeps in :((

Finally got online to... work? But it's been a loading screen for the last half hour. Which I imagine is common with the amount of people trying to load in right now.
