Yeah that was unpleasant. Walt imbues this sense of aggression and danger now. At any moment I expected him to lose control and attack Skyler and even debated with myself whether or not he'd killed her during the scene where he was stirring his cereal. Very uncomfortable viewing indeed.

I figured the ending scene would be Walt returning home to a dead Skyler, but was glad it wasn't. Walt looking at the watch as a PRIZE for how manipulative he has been in his dealings with Jesse just made me so SAD.

Also, the immediate reaction to this episode on Twitter was fucking unbearable. So many posts saying SKYLER IS A BITCH WALT SHOULD JUST OFF HER

Yeah I wish people were in her shoes. I don't get the Skylar hate, yes her stories aren't the greatest but what she's going through is painful even to watch! Though, her death would shake up the show quite a bit if we saw a major character die.

See, I don't have a problem with anticipating her death, partly because it seems like the show is already heading that way, partly because there's no denying it would be a compelling development. But a lot of the haters seem to identify with Walt on the matter, saying Skyler is a cunt and shit, despite the fact that like half of season 3 ADDRESSED THIS

These same commenter's probably cheered Walt on when he watched Jane die, or when he poisoned Brock.

They think breaking bad is an action series, and skyler is in the way of that!

Firefox doesn't resize images properly. It's annoying but there's really no fix for it.

At this point the only thing I'm rooting for RE: Walt is that he regains some semblance of conscience or humanity.

I think the closest to that we've seen is him muttering "great science museum" in the pilot. I don't want the character to do well at all.

His wife now lives in constant fear of the changed man he has become, and cannot cope with the immorality and danger of the situation she finds herself trapped in.

I can't help but assume the Walt in the opening scene of the season was a CHANGED MAN. I feel like somehow, before that moment, he is going to be humbled somehow.

I mean, there is still some EXCITEMENT when he hatches a crazy plan and all the pieces come into place so that it works. Like the magnet earlier, or Vamonos Pests. It's still entertaining to see him do badass things. But that empathy doesn't really carry over to his home life, or any of his interactions with others. He is such a pathetic, manipulative bastard that I can't imagine why anybody can LIKE his callous treatment of Jesse or Skyler or EVEN JUNIOR
