I just finished reading a book called The Silkworm, which has become a television series, along with other books in the series. And it's by an author called Robert Galbraith, which some of you might know is a pseudonym of JK Rowling. lol I've never read a Harry Potter book in my life and when I realized this was a JK Rowling book, I was immediately like "ugh...really?" But turns out it was an enjoyable detective story and now I want to read more of them. So I will?

I don't really follow her life, but now I see she's been under fire recently for comments that she's made about transgender people.

I already had two of the books.

I didn't know JK Rowling was still writing lol.

Anyway Christian, since you brought it up she didn't do anything wrong. She's a super progressive type, but she didn't follow the party line 100% so it was decided she had to be cancelled. Such are the times we are living in!

Enjoy the books, ignore the woke bullshit

As some of you might have guessed I'm currently reading James Cooks journal. Very interesting stuff. However I'm coming to the end now and I'm worried that it doesn't end well!

I've also been reading one of the most recent entries of The Expanse series but I've left it alone for months because it suddenly became really boring.

Currently reading the shadow agent/cloak series by Johnathan Moeller.

They are short, fast books. Not great, but not bad, either.

@wikey
Did you ever try any of the discworld books?

I would recommend doing 2 or 3 at a time, then reading something else. They are written to be read in any order, so the backstory stuff that ties them together gets repetitive.

I still haven't unfortunately, but I will be getting them at some point, they're on my list. I'm a slow reader!

I really loved And Then There Were None. Had a great time with The ABC Murders, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, and Hallowe'en Party. I also loved The Regatta Mystery short story collection. There's so many more I've yet to read. Cards on the Table has been really good so far.

I think the next one I'm gonna read is Easy to Kill or The Body in the Library. I also have Death Comes at the End, Death on the Nile, Poirot Loses a Client, and Curtain.

Oooo Curtain is also super good, although definitely feels like an ending. I couldn't get into the Miss Jane Marple novels, but think I started Body in the Library at some point.
