This was my day today. Digging 75 feet of trenches through dirt, rocks, and a ton of tree roots. I can't remember the last time I was this sore. All to move some water from near the house to the street. Next step is to fill them with gravel and drainage pipes.

When I was heading to work earlier today I saw one of the Muppets riding a motorcycle.
Pretty interesting stuff.

I dug most of it. My wife helped with the final shaping and removal of all the tree roots.

I have a sad confession to make FE, I am going bald.
Your mental image of me with flowing long locks is going to have to be adjusted. I apologise for shattering your world-view so abruptly.
I'm at a point where I definitely need to go all in and fully shave it, but I'm still not committed because it's such a big deal. So I'm just wearing hats right now, not to hide the reality (I'm quite casual about my encroaching lack of hair) but because it looks weird.
I'm aware that some of you probably don't even know who I am, let alone have a mental image of my hair, but hopefully this helps to alleviate that.

I dived into this thread without reading anything, because there are too many unread pages.

I can't work out if there's a causal link between baldness and stress or not, because the jury always seems out on it. But I'd put it down to that generally. I was definitely balding pre-pandemic and I'm definitely much more balding over a year on.
Still could just be correlation and it was always my destiny to be hairless.
Or maybe not cutting it short for most of my adult life was pretty dumb from a hair retention point of view?

My hair's been getting thinner these last couple of years so I usually just cut it short.

I used to have real thick and curly hair when I was younger.

Mine was so weird. It was literally like overnight. I had really thick hair throughout high school. Shaved it completely bald after I graduated for lulzies and it grew back in receding. Never could grow my hair properly again. Would grow like crazy in the back and cap out at a few inches on the top. It looked fucking ridiculous, as seen in my early FE videos when I had hair. Now it's just straight up horseshoe. Grows on the sides, nothing beyond peach fuzz on the top.
Thing is I didn't particularly LIKE having hair, I liked having it short when I was younger. It was after I learned I could no longer grow it out that I wanted to grow it out. I held onto it for years by wearing hats but once I wasn't allowed to at work anymore, I shaved it for good. |
