Beat Dark Souls 3, was a really good game with some insane bosses later on.
Will probably play it through to get the other two endings and then go back to DS2 to finish it.

The Flame in the Flood
I'm a sucker for survival games, and this one's a bit different from most of them. You play as a girl navigating a giant river through the backwoods of post-societal America with her dog. There are stops along the way that you can take and forage. There are wolves and dangers everywhere and you have limited space to carry stuff. Starvation and illness are very real threats. It reminds me of Oregon Trail in a way.
I was doing REALLY WELL. I'd reached the point where my biggest issue was deciding what not to take with me. I encountered two wolves and bested both of them (my encounters with boars went worse). I was fully fed, not tired, not thirsty. I had good gear on to keep warm. I had more than enough clean water. I had food for later. I was VERY VERY set.
The only problem is I suck at the whole rafting thing. I crashed my boat. I drowned. | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

Achievements are definitely broken for this game. I was rafting and got the achievement Seamstress for crafting 50 articles of clothing. I've crafted like 5 | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

When you die, the game shows you a map that shows your triumphs and tragedies, so you can see where you were when things went right and things went wrong. I wonder where it all went wrong for me.
Bonus: Character right before I died:

I tried The Witcher 3 out for a few hours and couldn't really get into it, then Fallout 4 came out soon after and I completely dropped it
I'll probably give it another shot at some point tho |
good luck with that, witcher 3 is nothing but a dust collector here on my end (too). I've played for an hour or two, been very upset with the performance (on PS4)...thought of gifiting it to someone but noone I know owns a PS4, and those who do already got that game.
I don't know why it's been getting all the praise it did

max payne 1, it's back! it was "remastered" for the PS4. 15 $, absolutely legit price.
1st time I play a max payne title on a console though...really weird controls in my opinion, nevertheless, it still oozes of style! | "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

The Flame in the Flood
I was doing really well, but then I got bit by two snakes and thanks to the way status effects work on the game, I needed two cures for it. I had the supplies to make it, but I needed to cook them and I couldn't get a camp fire going thanks to the rain. So when I died, I continued from the latest checkpoint, only to have the same thing happen all over again, so I tried to kill myself some other way just so I wouldn't die from snake bite twice in a row. After I died of hypothermia I went to continue from my checkpoint again, but the game gives you a choice of the latest or the one before it and I accidentally chose the old one. :(
Gonna die one more time and see if I can get back to the later checkpoint. Otherwise I might just restart entirely. | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

Rise of the Tomb Raider
great game. I liked the first game more overall (mostly for the setting/story) but I think the mechanics were better here. The combat's so much fun
|
I'm def disappointed in the lack of dual wielded pistols tho. I don't get that, I thought the ending of the first one all but guaranteed that it'd at least become an option at some point here. WORKED OUT PRETTY WELL LAST TIME YOU TRIED IT LARA! |

Recently bought both Hitman and Stellaris.
Hitman hasn't been good since Blood Money but this new one is a return to form if the first two levels are anything to go by.
The only thing that lets it down is the episodic releases. Rather than having the full game, you have to wait months between installments, like a Telltale game. Not particularly a fan of that system with this type of game. Still, the levels have a bunch of replay value.
Stellaris is amazing. I am a huge nerd for grand strategy and space games, so I was looking forward to this when I heard about it. It's by Paradox Interactive too, and their strategy games are some of the best.
