I reported it when it happened but that was months ago and now I'm just like... Uh I dunno. Like we are nearing tax time and I'll technically need to file for this 2 weeks of unemployment that I shouldn't have gotten but I really don't know. The unemployment office shut down their phone line and the only way to contact them is filing a claim which is what I did to no response. It's 1,400 dollars just sitting in my account mocking me. Vaporwages Didn't someone already technically file for you when you originally received it? Was it mailed to you? Or couldn't you pay it back via the bank if it went directly to your account? I don't know. It's weird they'd shut down their phone line.

What I mean is the only way to let them know is to report the fraud. Which I have done months ago to no response. And no it was direct deposited into my account.

OH! I get it now. You'd have to file a tax return, not file with unemployment office to receive the money which you've already received. My bad.

is the unemployment office connected to the government?

can you call a tax office and ask them what you should do?

I mean I could if it gets to that.
