My parents sent photos of the sky today to our family chat. They live in the Bay Area and it looks like Blade Runner 2049 out there.

I'm in Portland metro area and not in one of the "danger zones" but just about 15 min. outside of zone 1 which basically means "be ready" to evacuate. Some people I know are in zone 3 which means, GO! Some are in zones 1 & 2. The sky has been clouded with smoke for the past couple of days, it smells like a campfire just going outside. Really hoping the fires get under control soon.

Yeah everything smells like a campfire out here too. It was really nice for a total of 5 seconds and now I am very over breathing in this gender reveal fowl air.

I just drove 3 hours each way to buy some furniture from IKEA that I then also had to assemble when I got home.

That may be one of the most 'dad' sentences that I think I could have typed out.

Some guy kept posting seemingly out of context screenshots of him "scamming scammers" on the Survivor ORG subreddit. They were weird sext conversations where he kept promising gift cards for nudes but never delivering and treating it like a moral victory.

So I asked him "what's your story big cat" and now I have a colorful enemy.
