-dr @ 12/4/2016 1:09 I have a 360, and by extension I have a 360 controller, but my only console I ever actually used was PS2, so that's the controller I'm most comfortable with. It seems like Xbox controllers have more support for PC overall so getting a PS3/4 controller probably isn't worth it when I can just finally learn the 360 one, right? I learned on my spiritual journey this weekend that you HAVE to buy an adapter for Xbox 360 controllers.

Unless you buy a wired one made for PC

I might just get the PS4 controller and adapter in that case tbh. I'll probably get a PS4 around the time the PS5 gets announced so I'll buy that part early!

I got to Zone 28 and was like "I wonder what happens if I portal" thinking it would be a side thing, not restarting with bonuses. lol

You want to portal first around there or before, You pretty much portal as soon as you start slowing down. You can respec your bonuses once per portal btw.

update: I die less with a controller, but still plenty.

i finished the witcher 3 yesterday!

amazing game, astoundingly long. i made the mistake (?) of trying to explore everything and do every side quest i could find and ended up getting a bit burnt out for a while. eventually i was just like "fuck this last zone, i'm gonna finish the story" and even that was like 15 more hours of playing.

but the game is incredible. would recommend. even if you haven't played the other two (i'd only played a few hours of witcher 1 before skipping to this)

Everyone keeps recommending The Witcher 3 to me. I've never played any of them.

It's weird because when I see footage of the game it looks very meh to me...I don't know why. But then I hear all these great things about it regarding the quests and the difficult decisions you have to make, and the interactive world, which always sound amazing.

Maybe some day.

I recently installed Rome 2: Total War.

I knew how badly received it was going in but I had this irrational hope that it was going to be good despite this.

10 minutes after playing I quit and have felt no urge to go back. It was so...dull. I can't believe how awful it was. So I reinstalled Rome 1. A much better game.

I reinstalled Knights of the Old Republic but haven't started.

I haven't played either except like 5 minutes of KOTOR 1.

i've played some of KOTOR until they introduced the card game and then i never got any further because i kept playing it
