In 1980 there was a massive tornado in Kalamazoo michigan. I was just a baby but I was in this event. In the video in the link above you can see the gas station where my family took shelter.

Fun fact: my dad dropped me head first on a toilet bowl during the storm

It honestly looks like the interior designer of the Cheesecake Factory read some sort of dark manifesto and then designed Dr. Phil’s house.
