Why do people always say this even when it's not remotely true? Is this just a placeholder phrase to use on day 1?

We're like 4 hours in and there's already plenty for us to go off of for later days (if not today)

I'm not a master of phrase nuances and double meanings boc. Whereas you might see something illuminating i'm often unable to see past the face value. At least this early when things are rather more on the sillai side.
