I'm guessing those hopes are based on the comic book? Because last season was pretty rough. Then again, it would have to be better than that.

Dumb ass Rick, digging up the gun tree someone planted.
That baby was three weeks away from sprouting.

Yeah a bit from the comics, but also from what I've heard about this season and the early reviews. Plus the new showrunner. Apparently he's a big CHARACTER GUY and this could be a really good character show, but tbh it isn't. It would benefit so much from better backstories and longer character archs. Apparently that's what he's trying to do so I'm looking forward to it

Oh shit, yeah. I watched the majority of the first season a long time ago. Would have never come up with that.

What'd you guys think?
I thought it was solid. The scene in the store was so great. That walker hanging by his intestines will be such a classic moment
The ending with the kid randomly dying excites me for next week too. So does BOB, the new character. The medic that the shelf fell on. I like the actor and I'm excited to see his story
The stuff with Rick and the Irish lady was really good also

Definitely enjoyed it. Wondering what this new disease is, or if it's just the same disease that has gotten stronger. The zombies falling through the ceiling was indeed great. Stupid, lucky things to fall into food like that.
I was going to go see what reddit had to say about it, but I -really- don't feel like wading through the "le sigh, it's just not Breaking Bad my life is over" types to get to the discussion.
