I'm attempting to watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier on Xfinity's mobile app because I don't feel like sitting for my laptop, but I forgot how crappy the streaming gets here after morning, so I might just download it and watch it later.

Dead Snow 2
I enjoyed the first one, but liked this one a bit better. Non-stop zombie nonsense from start to finish.
I never knew how much I needed to see squadrons of Russian zombies clashing with Nazi zombies until tonight.

Hatchet III
It was ok, basically just a gore fest. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I don't really care for the Victor Crowley character himself. It feels like they went from having him be a fun homage to or just a bayou re-skin of Jason (complete with having one of the guys that played Jason play him) in the first one to wanting to push him as a classic horror character in the last two. Better than the second one at least.

"Oh, Axe Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan. This is sure to be a classic."
"Yep. Instant classic."

Edge of Tomorrow
Enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I caught part of it the other day when flipping through and decided to record the replay on HBO later that night.

Kingsman- 12/10
Plot was ludicrous but I don't care. It was my cup of tea.

Grand Budapest Hotel, Whiplash, and Birdman all done.
Thumbs ups all around
Selma is the last one. Haven't slept since 4pm yesterday, going to be a fight to stay awake I think.

Just got back from my movie marathon. Didn't actually get to see Boyhood because of technical difficulties (: By the time they got it working it was like 1 1/2 hours after it was supposed to start so they just skipped it and showed the other three as scheduled. If I hadn't already seen it I would've been PISSED! But they gave us all 4 free movie vouchers because of it so actually a p gud deal
thots on what I did see:
Theory of Everything - ehhh. Kinda bland tbh. Dunno if they could've really done much more with the story though. The cinematography and acting was great though. And the ending was p cool
Whiplash - VERY good! I was entranced by it the whole way through. And that ending was so intense. My palms started SWEATING by the time the credits started rolling
American Sniper - solid but nothing really special. It was just kinda a bog standard war movie to me. The dialogue was kinda bad at times. tbh the first trailer for that movie > the actual movie. I dunno, maybe I would've liked it better if it didn't come directly after Whiplash. One thing I did like though was the juxtaposition when they'd cut from an Iraq scene straight to a scene back in USA. I don't know quite know how to describe it but I think it was mostly the ambience, like how they'd have a lawnmower in the background or a TV with college basketball on, straight after the intense gunfighting in Iraq. That was good
best picture rankings:
1. Birdman
2. Whiplash
3. Boyhood
--gap--
4. The Imitation Game
5. The Grand Budapest Hotel
--gap--
6. Selma
7. American Sniper
8. The Theory of Everything
