We have a theater like that but there's no button. But, wow, Americans are so lazy!

didn't go yet but don't know where it would be better to post.
We're going to the movies on Friday to see either The Theory of Everything or American Sniper [show times fit best into our schedule]. We also decided that instead of spending money on candy / gifts that we would go to Saturday 1 of AMC's Best Picture Showcase on February 14 to see Grand Budapest Hotel (10:00), Whiplash (12:00), Birdman (2:05), and Selma (4:55). P fun Valentine's Day I hope.
Unfortunately we can't go to Saturday 2 of the Showcase on February 21 because of previous plans. Boyhood, The Theory of Everything, Imitation Game, and American Sniper. |
that's pretty similar to what I'm doing on the 14th actually! Marcus Theatres is doing the same thing. We'll be seeing Boyhood (1:20), Theory of Everything (4:30), Whiplash (7:00) and American Sniper (9:10). Those last 3 are the only BP nominees I haven't seen yet, and I wanted to watch Boyhood again anyway. So excited |
Very nice! We decided to go see American Sniper later today. Just need to fit in Boyhood and Theory of Everything later this month and we'll have seen them all.

Into The Woods.
It's been a while since I've seen a musical, but I always tend to enjoy them. I was slightly disappointed at the very little screen time for Johnny Depp. It's probably best to not take this movie too seriously at times, but it was very enjoyable through to the end. I just wish I had a better quality of it, or I would have enjoyed it a lot more! Damn torrents.... The movie is around 2 hours, so don't watch it unless you have nothing to do!

Godzilla
not bad. you can't really go wrong with this type of movie as far as entertaining yourself.
but my GOD the lighting was fucking awful. half the film was dark as hell and you couldn't see what was going on. that was frustrating.
I think it started off strongly and just got progressively worse. Kind of figured that would be the case.

Usually not a big fan of shoot-em-up movies but this was done pretty well. I really liked the sequences with the slo-mo drug especially. And it was fun seeing Cersei and Avon team up (:

The Equalizer
I didn't know that I wanted to see Denzel Washington kill a bunch of Russians to avenge Hit Girl, but I guess I did.

it was the most misanthropic and cruel i've seen a modern movie protagonist be in some time
last i watched was CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND. weird to think this movie was one of the ones that "kicked off" the blockbuster and yet is so lacking in big action sequences. the whole climax is beautiful and almost transcendental.

I'm watching Wolf of Wallstreet and I immediately jumped up when I noticed a chain of stores that looked familiar. It's the stores right near my Kmart. Tripped me out. That's v cool
