Old man rant time: I hate finals week.

Finals week should be a happy time for teachers, because it means we are done with another semester of classes, and we get to see just how much our students actually learned. However, my finals week always turns into dealing with slacker students emailing about how they need more points for the next higher grade level.

Student: "I really need a C in this class. Is there anything I can do now for another 10 points?"
Me: "Maybe you should have done any one of the 15 assignments you didn't do this semester when they were actually due."
Student: "But I really need those points."

Note to any college (or potential college) students: Care just as much about your grade in Week 1 as you do in Week 15. Also, don't expect to get extra chances to do extra credit when you chose to not do the regular credit.

my 20 year old cousin (Giggle) has a bunch of tattoos and grandma was comparing this to the holocaust

No idea. I've been searching the internet to see if the police published anything regarding the incidient but nothing yet.
