On the same day that I was killed/eliminated from both active games here on FE, I found out my teaching position might be eliminated for next year. Guess it's time to dust off the ol' resume, and see what I've forgotten to record over the last 4 years. I'm kind of in a similar boat. Our store manager got fired and we're overstaffed on assistants so there are a lot of rumors swirling around that a few of our heads are getting put on pikes to make an example of the market as our store is absolutely terrible in everything at the moment. I've only ever worked for Walmart and didn't get my edumacations after high school so it's a very scary thought.

I had a friend who didn't go to school, but went through WM tire and lube mgmt programs and was able to move on to other retail management stuff afterwards.

I'm not getting let go, but a lot of big changes are coming. Overnights is getting totally eliminated which is going to leave two extra ASM's for every store in the company (that haven't transitioned yet anyway). So a lot of us are going to be getting cut. Nobody knows who at the moment but it's very nervewracking, especially since there's no communication about it, I'm learning almost everything through Reddit. And when it happens, it's going to be quick.

I'm sure I can find another management retail job, the problem is that there is nothing here retail. At all. There's a few small grocery stores and that's it. There's no other big chain stores in Price. Or Carbon County in it's entirety for that matter. Due to that, I'll probably end up transferring if I am one of the ones cut (we aren't "laid off" per se, we just have 30 days to find another position in the company or get terminated). So I'll have to move, which is very impractical with my current life situation.
