Maddie and I played a Mafia game with a bunch of people like a month ago in person and it was weird as fuck just sitting there with your eyes closed in a circle. I much prefer the online version.

YES. And the "host" wouldn't reveal alignments upon death. Vic and I were getting very angry.

Remind me to tell you about the dream I had last night. It's crazy how the subconscious mind works.

OK. So in this dream I was meeting up with this kid I knew in elementary school. That was definitely the last time I had seen him, and we weren't actually ever that close. But I guess we were going to catch up or whatever. I was supposed to meet him at his house, which I had never been to before, so my mind (having no idea what it looked like) took the house that I live in and had it stand in for this other house. That's the theory I came up with when I had woken up later.

So anyway, I showed up his house, which is exactly the same as mine. And he's not there yet. Later, I looked out the dining room window and saw him in his car in the driveway. But it was weird, because it seemed like I was looking at it with x-ray vision or something. Like with the naked eye, he'd be hidden away in there, but I could see him lying down in his car, sleeping.

He later came inside, and we said hello, etc. and then it kind of just ended, and I woke up.

As soon as I woke up, I remembered that this person had died a few years ago.

In my dream, I had forgotten that. But then I thought about the weirdness of seeing him sleeping in his car, as if my subconscious did know.

And I've been reading this book about the history of Saturday Night Live (I promise it's connected :P ) that's made up of all these paragraphs by cast, crew, Lorne Michaels, guest hosts, network executives, etc. talking about each other and backstage stories, etc. It's actually really addicting. John Belushi is a big talking point in the first 200 pages, and so I'd been thinking about that and his death and how he's being remembered by these people that knew him. And it just got me thinking of life and death in general. And that's what I was thinking about the night before I had that dream, so it was definitely on my mind.

I don't know why I dreamed about that person who I hadn't thought of in a long time, but maybe it has to do with us having been the same age once.

I played a Werewolf card game with friends a few years ago.

While it was fun, it didn't have too many rounds lol.

The only time I enjoy playing mafia irl is if I get to be god and narrate ridiculous deaths

Apparently "grandpa is spending half a year in Kuwait" is not priority family news and can wait a month or two to mention

No, I've known for years. I just remembered as soon as I woke up.

Got a promotion at work! P excited, new job starts tomorrow

Old job had me driving around MA and auditing all of our stores. New job means I'll be working at the main office instead of just through the office. No more crazy driving, no more waking up at 5:30am

And my dad will be working right down the hall until he retires in two years so that'll be neat too
