The Sacrament
I liked this, even if it was basically just Jonestown the Movie. I thought the whole Vice documentary take was neat but there really wasn't anything original about the movie itself. I don't know why I was expecting there to be another angle introduced about the Father figure. I liked it slightly more than The Innkeepers, but The House of the Devil is still my favorite thing Ti West has done.

The only time I ever watched Christmas Vacation was at The Mormon's Christmas Party a few years ago in which they spent the entire time tapping my arm in anticipation going "WATCH THIS WATCH THIS" at every scene before roaring in laughter.
Watched Wolf on Wall Street a few days ago. Very gud. Mr C loved it, which is probably a first as he hates every movie I try to watch with him. |

The Interview - fun movie. a solid 7.5/10. had to lol a couple of times....rogen/franco chemistry works for me most of the time. | "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

I remember that one ... It's the one with the kid with cancer and the skating dream right? <_< | I used to travel the universe, but settled for parks.

The Taking of Deborah Logan
Ever since those GIFs were posted in here I wanted to watch this. I'd be lying if I didn't say I was waiting the entire movie for the first GIF to happen (it doesn't happen until the end), but I thought this was a good horror movie. Demonic possession and Alzheimer's/dementia made an effective combination. I give it a solid 6sppok out of a total possible 10sppok.

I watched that with my roommates weeks ago and none of us had ever seen or heard of it. We were yelling at the tv for a bit.

Beneath
A woman joins her father, ex-boyfriend, and the rest of their crew on a trip into a coal mine to experience what they do for a living. Some overzealous drilling leads to an old collapsed section of the mine being busted open, releasing spooky spirits that cause hallucinations and haunted hijinx. 3sppok.

Pretty decent found footage Bigfoot movie. This was not stingy with the Bigfoot action like Bobcat Goldthwait's Willow Creek was. Five friends at a cabin in the woods meet Mr. Sasquatch. And he's kind of an asshole, but for good reason. Basic set-up, but Bigfoot kind of requires it. 5sppok.

Afflicted
A guy sets out with his terminally ill friend to go globe trotting on a trip to end all trips, which they will record and blog about. Their trip hits a bit of a snag when one of them comes down with a case of the vampires and their documentary shifts focus. I give it one extra sppok for being a found footage vampire movie. 6sppok.

The Interview.
Pretty meh movie. I don't think I laughed at anything anyone said except for the "He can talk to dolphins?" line. Pretty much only watched it for the controversy and James Franco. If I could go back, I'd probably save my time and not watch it ever. 5/10.
Book of Life.
Very cute movie. I loved that the girl could fend for herself and not rely on a guy and that she didn't take any shit from anybody. The whole concept was interesting and there were a few moments where I started to tear up. Also, in the background of a scene, you can hear the toreador march; which, as some of you may know, is Freddy's theme song from the game Five Nights at Freddy's. I felt uncomfortable hearing that during a really happy scene. The plot was pretty well written and the voice acting was good too. 8/10.
