Yesterday when I sat down at the computer desk, I noticed a spider coming down from the ceiling on a web almost right in front of my face.

There was still some time before it'd reach the ground, so I assessed the surrounding areas to see what I could use in my efforts to defeat this invader.

I thought, okay, I can step on it when it lands, but do I really want spider guts on the bottom of my slipper?

(yes, I was wearing old man slippers)

Then I spied a pair of scissors on the desk and some paper. I grabbed the scissors and snipped the web above the spider and it fell to the floor. I think it was stunned because it landed quicker than it had intended.

Then I took a (used) piece of paper and put it over top the spider before I stepped on it.

Then I left it there while I conducted my business on FE. Eventually, he was disposed of.

And now, back to the discussion on the World Wars.

What kind of spider was it?
