Oscar Mayer is a hot dog expert (not just someone who wolfs them down for publicity) and their verdict is it is a sandwich.

Oscar Mayer's marketing team's*, I doubt Oscar Mayer himself would have said they are.

I used a Ouija board and he said they are.

Competitive eaters eat the meat and bread separately. For them it isn't a sandwich.

Pro tip: when working a charcoal grill, and you need to move coals around with a pair of tongs, and those tongs break, don't let your instincts kick in and have you catch the hot coal with your bare hand. It's not a fun time.

Pro tip: when working a charcoal grill, and you need to move coals around with a pair of tongs, and those tongs break, don't let your instincts kick in and have you catch the hot coal with your bare hand. It's not a fun time. Ouch!

It was almost as good as all the times I've tried to catch sharp objects (i.e. knives) with my feet when they drop. I played way too much hacky-sack as a kid.
