It's harder for the vaccinated to pass on the virus the strain becomes weaker. |
My exposure was work. My boss is unvaccinated, currently on a vent. I'm vaccinated and boosted, did 10 days of isolation with only mild symptoms. My kids who live with me didn't get it. | A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain without sacrificing something. Just a heads up, if you are buying rapid tests...watch the expiration dates. They seem to have a very short shelf life. | A lesson without pain is meaningless. My dad had mild symptons, my mom and I never got it. I may have been asymptomatic but the rapid test showed negative. I just had my booster shot yesterday.

Mt Dad has it again. He only has half a lung left, so I'm pretty worried about him.

Got selected for a jury last week, yesterday the case was declared a mistrial since the some of the jury couldn't reconvene in 2 weeks.
The judge didn't say why, but I'm guessing the defendant or some of the witnesses had covid.

Got a call from HR today that I missed. When I called back, it was basic questions of my symptoms, when were you last at work, what mask did you wear. etcetera etcetera. I was told to call back on Friday (when the 5 day isolation period ends) and see if I'll be fit for work on the weekend. I also sent an email with picture proof of my positive test.
Nearly 7 at night, I get another call from someone else at HR. Starts asking me the same questions in a different way, like they're trying to throw me off. Then they tell me the same thing, isolating for a minimum of 5 days and I'll get a call back from someone on Friday.
So either corporate doesn't talk to each other or they don't think I have covid. First they tell me to call back and then I'm told they'll call back. So I'm just waiting for that call.
As far as symptoms go: Sore throat is the biggest one. I've developed a cough and head congestion all around. Taste and smell have been affected but nothing too severe. Headaches and chills Sunday and Monday, with fatigue coming in and out. More head and chest congestion today. My voice has been hoarse starting Sunday.

I had to google chest congestion.
It sounds like you got Omicron, people at work were sick, tested positive 1-2 weeks ago. It was a rollercoaster. Everyone had nild symtoms.
It feels like testing positive for Covid is the new normal.
