I honestly had no idea there was a Canadian NBA team until today |
Between this and your food thread, I feel better and better about your movie reviews. Lol.

Normally about now I'd be shitting on this blockbuster Davis deal to the Lakers but I really don't care right now since my team's the champions!!!
That being said, Lakers gave up way to much.

really? i think they should have held out for Kuzma. Ball to me is a net negative and Ingram has a vascular issue which is super scary. thought i understand there are some protections in the Pelicans favor? and pick swaps? so maybe my initial reaction was not fully informed. still i would be very cautious about taking on Ingram.

Too get all those picks, plus some serviceable younger players, in exchange for one year of AD, I think New Orleans got the much better end of the deal. If they didn't take the deal, AD would ho hum through the season, then just leave in free agency. At least now, they have some pieces and picks to help build a contender around Zion.

see i think the Lakers needed to get Davis more then the Pelicans needed to trade him. i would have held out for Kuzma instead of Ball.

I bet the Lakers made Ball a requirement in any trade, just to get that family away from the team.

well they could have taken him and Kuzma. forcing them to keep Ball would have meant they could not open that ~$32 mil in cap space. would have made it very difficult to get another max free agent. and as i said before vascular issues are very scary, just ask Bosh.

Conley to the Jazz. West is insane. With GSW short handed it is going to be so wide open.
GSW, Houston, Denver, LAL, Portland, Utah, OKC all legitimate finals teams.
SA will still be good, Pelicans will be good in a couple years.
It’s ridiculous. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

do the Pistons have any chance of adding anyone to make them a better team or are they just screwed to be mediocre until a full blow up? |

they cant get under the cap at all. so they are probably stuck until Drummond's contract expires. and even past then they have to deal with Griffin's big contract for another year. they could make a trade and shake things up and possibly improve, or they could hit on a draft pick or have a young player take a big jump. overall i would say they are probably stuck in the 5-12 spot in the East until Griffin is off the payroll.
