##lynch Spin I kind of believe DS. If it's some personal thing and he's lying then I still think Spin looks bad for pretty much throwing the towel. If this is a play and they are both scum then Spin is still a good lynch. If we let this rest then this discussion will keep going on and on so I'm not in favor of another lynch at this point.

Having played with spin for some time, anyone here should know spin gets frustrated when he feels the game is coming down to personal stuff instead of just being mafia. So I am not surprised that spin is more throwing in the towel than fighting this.

I'd actually believe more that DS is lyncher who "conveniently" got spin as his target than day cop who just happened to randomly pick the first person he saw and OMG it happened to be the guy who killed him last game.

I would probably prefer a DS lynch. It just doesn't sit right with me this whole situation. Merc also seemed a little fishy and when he defended himself earlier it seemed a bit too calm/casual.

While I find the day cop claim a stretch, the chances that he is a lyncher who got a target that happens to also be the same person who killed him last game is a bigger stretch... Saying that, a day cop outing themselves at the start of day 1 is also crazy so who knows

Oh, I don't think he is lyncher, but I would buy that long before I bought that he was day cop with the "conveniences" noted above. I think DS is specifically just trying to get spin lynched as his own personal win condition.

The *only* thing giving me pause is the business about the "both" result, but I'm not even sure why he brought that up, since I asked what result he got on spin and instead he went off on what results he might get.

Im torn here. On one hand, I hate to outright ignore a cop claim. Otoh there are a bunch of reasons why we should.

As much shit as ds gets for claiming early, the only time I've seen him do a cop claim this way, he was scum.

Ds trying to get town cred off of a weird claim and using that to fos others looks really bad, but he does that shit pretty much constantly.

The timing makes ds look like he's definitely lying. I hate using chickenshit meta crap like that, but since others brought it up, it does look pretty damning.

I only see a few ways it makes sense to claim like that, and none of them make ds town.

Then again. Like someone already said, this will dominate every day until we lynch one or the other.

I don't think this will dominate much conversation beyond this. If DS is actually day cop, he'll get killed and we'll lynch spin and be done with it. If DS isn't day cop and not scum, then scum will leave him around to muddy the water for days. If they are *both* scum, then someone is gonna investigate/watch/track one or the other and they'll get nailed anyway.

It's definitely not gategate worthy.

Yes there is still the need for two things happening with DS being Day cop and spin being scum but being scum is easier than being picked as a lynch target. The other option is DS is a paranoid cop as DS even pointed out.

Would Jamie/Christian hand pick a role like that?
