I'm amazed this game is actually fun to watch now. Both teams getting in the box on a regular basis!

YES I predicted 3-1 Chile in the yahoo prediction! Also, I LOVE Chile's attacking style, I wish more teams played like them.

My favorite part was when they kicked the ball allllllll the way down the field and then looked like they were going to take a shot but then they lost the ball and the other team took it alllllllll the way back down the field and then looked like they were thinking about possibly taking a shot BUT THEN they lost the ball too and then the first team kicked it really hard and the goalie somehow came up with it even though he was nowhere near the goal and then he kicked really far again and then the SAME TEAM ENDED UP WITH THE BALL.

AND THEN I LOOKED AT THE CLOCK AND I WAS LIKE HOLY SHIT THAT WAS THE LEAST EXCITING 5 MINUTES IN SPORTS IVE EVER SEEN.

And then the same thing happened again and again for the next hour and then i shot myself in the face.

I found the Spanish commentators to be amusing in the game, it was kind of satisfying how confident and overjoyed they were at the beginning to pure disappointment when Holland scored the 5th goal.

I'd kill for any other transmission than my national one, commenters are obviously biased and sometimes act all assholy.

Suarez looks like he'll be done for the tourney, and for sure against Costa Rica. Just heard that Buffon is out for Italy so they'll have to rely on their defence which shouldn't be that much of a problem for Italy if they play their usual defence. Should be a good game to watch.

I love the player introductions.

"Everybody. Turn 45 degrees and cross your arms. No it won't look dumb when everyone does it! Turn and cross your damn arms! No smiling! No frowning! If you have an emotion, tell it with your arms!"

Seriously it looks so silly.

As a basketball fan, my favorite part of basketball is when they dribble the ball up the court then pass the ball around the perimeter for twenty seconds, then one guy finally shoots and scores 2 points. Then the other team did the exact same thing. Then they did that 100 times. See, I can do it too! :)

Sports are boring if you act like a knob and willfully ignore what's going on. Who knew?

I had high expectations for Colombia and wasn't too suprised when they won against Greece. But seeing their technique was really cool. I liked that game!

I found myself getting frustrated with Greece. I'm okay with a blowout as long as it's a vaguely competitive one, but I kept thinking things like "come on, you have the ball in the box, don't wait for the rest of your team to get there, Colombia will just get there faster!" or "if you're going to make a shot, don't kick it directly at the goalie!" Urgh.

Just watched the highlights: Spain's defense is awful, especially the keeper.

Am totally rooting for Costa Rica now. They are the ultimate underdogs alongside USA, Australia, Honduras, Croatia and Ecuador. I would love to see them go far!!

Uruguay is kicking ass right now, but it's disappointing that the guy who was the best player in South Africa has clearly lost a step.

Forlan's vision and playmaking ability is still great, but he's clearly a 35-year-old struggling to keep up when it comes to pure speed and agility.

Yeah I remember Forlan back in '02. He truly did lose his flare. But he was very very good in 2010. You can totally see the contrast between then and now. But he will be a legend! That's for sure!
