2.02 - White Bear - so many twists and turns. It’s crazy that the ridiculous twist really made the most sense in the end. Pretty cool how it all tied in at the end. Kind of messed up form of justice though.
1.03 - Entire History of You - definitely an interesting concept. Thought it’d go more into the legal side of it but still really solid. Definitely something that looks cool at a first but very quickly devolves into a lot of problems.
2.04 - White Christmas - this one had so many layers to it. The glass eyes were complicated enough and then adding on the cookies. I honestly thought this one was going to be low by just being a bunch of stories, but it ended up being really solid and full of twists.
1.02 - Fifteen Million Merits - the future life was pretty horrifying and messed up. Though I will say most of my attention was to think about the logistics and feasibility of biking to make energy. Boring at times which is why I liked the other one better. Definitely a bleak ending, definite advantage to just an episodic set up.
1.01 - The National Anthem - I actually watched this after the other two episodes this season. So the lack of futuristic tech made it feel like a totally different show. It felt almost 24ish but you know with pig fucking. Good but not great.
2.01 - Be Right Back - I literally just read something online about this concept (just the chat portion) so that was kind of interesting. Thought it was kind of boring compared to the first season episodes but did get you thinking.
2.03 - The Waldo Moment - I mean it’s a funny idea but kind of hits too close to home with the recent American political situation. Only episode I was really bleh on.
"So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"
2.02 - White Bear - so many twists and turns. It’s crazy that the ridiculous twist really made the most sense in the end. Pretty cool how it all tied in at the end. Kind of messed up form of justice though.
3.06 - Hated by the Nation - I loved this one. I did know it was the bees from the start so I’m glad it was revealed pretty early and not this crazy twist at the end. The hashtag user twist at the end wasn’t the craziest twist ever but the fact it went through was pretty crazy. Overall I really liked how this episode was framed. Was basically a movie.
3.04 - San Junipero - for better or worse my thoughts always jump to what the twist would be. I thought it was time travel. Was kind of close. A rare happy ending though it’s kind of bittersweet, Kelly’s decision was tough. Cool concept though, reminded me a lot of a show I won’t name because spoilers.
4.06 - Black Museum - I don’t know what it is about the multi story episodes but I really like them. I was completely oblivious to the final twist so I thought it was pretty good. I thought the pain transfer was the most interesting of the three but they all were really good. Strong end to the season!
4.04 - hang the dj - Based on my readings I knew Igor was gonna hate this one for yet another happy ending! Cant believe he didn’t. I thought it was a great episode. It didn’t have the same deep consequences as some of the other but was a nice 25th century love story! I think it was clear from the middle it was a simulation but the tie together with the 99.8% match was a neat bow.
4.01 - USS Callister - cool episode, really liked the idea of digital clones. Reminded me of that one movie. Nice rare happyish ending. Didn’t have any crazy twists or anything but I definitely laughed at the bug creatures being people too. Tracy from HIMYM was great and poor Todd can only play creepy bad guys.
3.03 - Shut up and Dance - they do a good job making us feel bad for assholes. Good twist at the end. The actor who played the kid was super good and it was good to see Bronn. This one could easily happen right now, not even futuristic. I bumped this up a couple spots after reading your thoughts. I remember he lingered at the drawing.
4.03 - crocodile - the pizza van was the coolest thing ever. The freaking guinea pig! I should have seen that coming but I didn’t at all. Pretty messed up episode! All that because he wanted to write an anonymous letter! Kind of similar idea to entire history of you, but not as advanced.
3.01 - Nosedive - loved the concept, did not nail the execution imo. The personification of a popularity based currency is pretty interesting, similar to the community episode. There were aspects of every day life factored into the idea but it just seemed too hyperbolic of a nose dive. Still good though.
3.02 - Playtest - I was tempted to not watch this one because I am such a pansy. It definitely got my heart rate up, none of the scares were actually that scary but the tenseness was insane. Definitely anything that messes with your mind that has the ability to be hacked I’m not game for. Definitely a mind eff so many layers.
4.02 - Arkangel - to me this one was more about the story then the technology. The technology was a cool idea, the ultimate protective child story. They set it up well why she’d want it and I think the story evolved pretty well. Ultimately the end was a little tame but overall good episode.
3.05 - Man against Fire - Was kind of hoping for a happy ending on this one but I guess not! Doug killed it as always. Pretty messed up that the townspeople were cool with taking em out. Definitely felt a little shallow in terms of twist which is crazy because the twist was still huge but that’s black mirror.
4.05 - metal head - i really like how this one was shot and the episode as a whole I thought it was good I just feel like it wasn’t fleshed out that much. Like it really gave us nothing besides that they were going for a bear at the end. And that is fine in it’s own way and still enjoyable but it’s still going to rank near the bottom.

2.03 - The Waldo Moment - I mean it’s a funny idea but compared to the rest it was kind of dumb. Kind of like the fucking the pig, but the rest of the episode wasn’t exciting.

5.01 - striking vipers - this definitely was not what I was expecting. With all the talk of murder and a knives at the start I figured it was going to be a lot darker. Like they go on violent rampage. Poor Theo, all she had to do was not invite Karl to the birthday. Was a really interesting episode for what it was but lacked the action of the others.
4.05 - metal head - i really like how this one was shot and the episode as a whole I thought it was good I just feel like it wasn’t fleshed out that much. 5.02 - Smithereens - it was a good episode but not up to Black Mirror standards. Felt like a giant texting and driving PSA. Was interesting how the tech company had more info than the police. Didn’t appreciate the cliffhanger at the end though.
5.03 - Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too - didn’t really like this one. I definitely liked the part with the doll and how the girl was really not the coolest but I feel like they forced the Miley story line. How were the sisters the only one to figure out how to crack the code simply by... plugging her in. P bad. Definite bottom 2 for me.
2.03 - The Waldo Moment - I mean it’s a funny idea but compared to the rest it was kind of dumb. Kind of like the fucking the pig, but the rest of the episode wasn’t exciting.
