Anyway, something just occurred to me. This bothered me earlier but I wasn't sure why. The Bran scene.
I am not talking about the terrible skeleton ninja battle (why don't the other wights move as fast as that?), I am talking about what Bran said when he met the tree wizard. The exchange went something like this:
Tree Wizard: You have travelled very far, to regain something you lost long ago!
Bran: I am going to walk agen?! :D
Really? Bran thought that Jojen travelled north of the wall and sacrificed his life so that Bran wouldn't have to get piggybacks from Hodor anymore?

Jamie didn't give a shit about Joffrey, you're right. But Tyrion intended to hurt Jamie by telling him he killed him. I guess that was what hurt more. I can't remember how Jamie reacted tbh. Been a while since I read. In fact, refreshing my memory of the reveal Jamie made about Tysha has me wondering if they will include it in the show at some point. Hm... |

Someone explain to me what happened with The Mountain... is he dead or is he about to come back alive as some freakishly overpowered villain?
No spoilers plz. I want theories or just don't speak at all for you book readers. |

someone answer my Mountain question |
"You can save him?"
"Difficult to say for certain. But if my past work is any guide, we stand a chance. You should know. The process may change him...somewhat."
"Will it weaken him?"
"Oh no."

One thing that I wished they touched on a tiny bit more. Oberyn poisoned his blade so that if he just wounded The Mountain, he would end up dying slowly
To me this says Oberyn didn't really expect to survive the duel, which makes him even more badass for dueling him anyway

lol did Jaime actually care though? I guess it WAS his son, but it seemed like he never actually cared for him. Maybe it was different in the books
And yeah that's the impression I get too (RE: Dinklage). Arguably the three biggest characters are Dany, Tyrion, and Jon, and all three of them haven't gotten their hands that dirty compared to everyone else. But I mean, Arya, The Hound, Tywin, Jaqen, etc are all FAN FAVORITES and they've all done their FAIR SHARE of killings, so I doubt that would really sour many against Tyrion. Especially in the case of Shae because I think at least half the audience would be cheering him on (: |
|
i think wikey's forgetting the most important thing that tyrion said to jaime to piss him off!
|
he told jaime that cersei's been fucking around. specifically lancel, osmund kettleblack (sadly the kettleblacks don't exist on the show), and moonboy (the jester, also doesn't exist but this one was said to emphasize she's probably been fucking a lot of people) for all he knows. |
and this is what jaime told tyrion (re: tysha) which pissed him off initially:
|
it turns out that tysha WASN'T just some whore jaime hired to get tyrion laid. she fell for him like he did for her, and tywin wasn't happy about it so he had jaime lie.
context spoiler
|
this is important because it shapes a lot of tyrion's motivations moving forward. in fact, he killed tywin after questioning him about where tysha was, it wasn't about shae at all. tywin kept calling her a whore, and he was basically like 'call her one again and i shoot. where's tysha?' and tywin basically shrugs it off and says 'wherever whores go,' and then gets shot.
tyrion then spends a lot of time trying to figure out where "wherever whores go" is. |

That's why I'm mad we had to sit through that conversation about their beetle-crushing cousin, but we couldn't get this conversation between Jaime and Tyrion at all.

I honestly don't think it would have been too important to where they are in the show tbh! The conversation about Orson was a lot more relevant to his current situation than anything about past transgressions like the Tysha thing would have been

I dunno, that sounded a lot better than what we got in the show
|
Though considering Tysha's only been brought up in the show once I get why they did what they did. Even some of the more attentive audiences would be asking "WHO?" if he brought up her name. If they included that Jaime scene it would help obviously, but also would feel a bit shoehorned if they had that come up again RIGHT before he confronts Tywin
I think since they made Shae/Tyrion closer on the show it does help with his motivation somewhat even with the lack of Tysha though |
