I don't think anyone's claiming but I know I'm town and I just don't see why he'd put himself in the spotlight if he's scum. I think he just thinks the votes on me are dumb.

I think it's equally if not more likely that he'd just be white knighting you. After all he'd surely be positive that you're town (or at least non-mafia) if he himself is scum (:

He's going WELL above and beyond what he needs to to save you from 3 joke votes in a 27 player game. If he isnt softclaiming something, it could still be white knighting, assuming you're town, so the defense that he's not scum because he's sticking up for you is silly.
