Man alive. I can't believe they would bring back the CI/Exile idol. In theory the game's progressed to the point where you could still flush one of those if you really wanted to, but it's still a horrible idea.

Well I was going to say that flushing that idol won't be too hard and I think people have become bolder and more strategic about idols over the seasons that they might find a way. But flushing one means you know for sure someone else is leaving who has most votes so it will cause major chaos to be honest. You don't want to be that person who gets the next votes, so how do you avoid that and does it screw you over instead by trying to get that target off your back.

But I think it's weird. You'd think that idol would be hidden pre-merge, not post-merge. That's a long time into the game to all of a sudden get a free ride until they decide to vote you out.

But if I'm being very honest, if I was ever on Survivor, I would want to find that idol because I wouldn't worry about anything. I could play as crazy or risky as I wanted to until I lost that extra life. It would be extremely fun.

Let's say it's final 8. A and B are allies and A has the OP idol. The other six decide they want that out of the game because A is a huge threat/etc. They could split the votes 3 for A and 3 for B, flushing the idol and sending B home. But that's honest just assuming A already isn't in some massive alliance.
