QUESTION lol
Both Boc and Curtis have implied that aiming for no lynch on day 1 is scummy.
I'm not SUSPECTING you at all, I'm just curious as to why this would be beneficial to scum. I guess it's something you understand the more you play, but it seems to be like it would be more beneficial to town? Since town to scum ratio is generally quite high, the likelihood of lynching a townie on day 1 is pretty high in any case. Plz ENLIGHTEN ME as to how NOT wasting a townie (most likely outcome of blind lynching) would be in mafia's interest! |
Town learns nothing and the game is essentially a NIGHT START. That means the mafia basically just starts the game with a free kill
That's the shortened version I guess

Because a no lynch gives the town no information. Lynches are the single best source of information for the town since you can't just rely on your investigative roles who might die before they give their info anyway. A no lynch on D1 gives you nothing to go off of on D2 so it's basically like another D1. D1 lynches are rarely successful but they're a necessary evil to get the ball rolling and start gathering info on scum by looking at voting (or non-voting)/discussion patterns
also scum are typically the ones who suggest no lynches but that's just metagaming (:
