Those immigrants are responsible for their own actions, and nothing anybody says excuses violence. That's on them.

America's position on Jerusalem shouldn't have any bearing on Palestinian immigrants living in Sweden anyway. All they should care about (and i'd argue that they shouldn't care at all) is the Swedish governments position.

Sounds to me like those particular immigrants who carried out the attack have a lack of respect for the country that accepted them.

Palestinian/jews here (not all obviously) care deeply about whatever happens down there, it's part of their identity I guess. I don't think it's that uncommon. It's like a trickle down effect.

Well, a decision like that is gonna cause massive controversy. I feel like you can blame the person making the controversial decision, just as you can blame the people acting out in violence.

Regarding the Jerusalem thing, I don't know much about it, but one Question Time the other night some economist said that Trump was ordered to recognize Jerusalem as the capital or something. Anyone wanna enlighten me on that?

Well, it's definitely antisemitism so I don't disagree with you there. They could protest the US embassy, but the people who did the attack seem to already be of violent nature. Palestinians in general condemned the attack though, so you're probably right.

Replying to both Jaime/Maddy. Sure, nobody is saying it's not weird. But it's someone's right to offer someone else whatever they want, maybe he thinks she has good genes, health, height, eye color, hair color, whatever. If there is evidence he tried to push the matter to threaten her employment status or try to push the matter constantly, then yes I agree that's harassment. I mean no shit it's weird to ask someone that. If I was in the situation I wouldn't feel comfortable asking people I know either. I can kinda see the workplace argument, but in my opinion I need more context to figure out whether it was inappropriate. I only believe he should step down if it turned into harassment as I defined above. Otherwise it's just weird, but not as bad as it's shown to be. Let's look again at the key to this- it's your BOSS. you know, the person who you depend on for a job. The person who can fire you for being "uncooperative" and who can make sure that if anyone calls for a reference they can make it so it is difficult for you to get another job. Are you going to quit and bring up in future interviews why you had to leave? Has future employment become more difficult because your boss made a creepy request?

Sweden has a lot of crazy alt rights/racists. It's the country where Jews are most likely to keep their religion private. I think one poll showed 70-80% aren't' comfortable being public with their religion
