Old people always tell the same few stories. You'd think after living such a long life they'd have many stories and you would always hear a new one. But no, it's always the same two or three stories and they tell it like they've never told it before.

I just found my second mic! I wondered why I didn't remember what happened to it. Turns out its been 2 feet away from me this entire time.

My grandma unfortunately has a lot of stories, but they're all of the most mundane shit, like talking to someone at the store three years ago who asked her about something then it turned out that person's cousin's neice's nephew's brother-in-law just had the flu, and then she found something on sale. Then this story needs to be shared witheveryone she has ever met.

The thing with the electric company is awful though, because it's been sorted out. I did the negotiations over the phone myself because my grandma is stubborn, angry and deaf and she wasn't getting anywhere with it. So I made the calls, talked to the customer service reps, asked questions, got answers, and got a reasonable grasp of the situation. We switched back to the company my grandma wants, got a rebate check, and everything ended peaceably in about an hour once I got on the phone.

I AM THE ONE WHO RESOLVED THE ISSUE. I KNOW THE FUCKING STORY. I WAS THERE. STOP TELLING ME IT.

No, but I can tell you that slamming it on the ground to see if it will stop squeaking, doesn't work. The replacement part that breaks from hitting the ground isn't considered warranty either.
