Toys r is is closing in 12 days so we took the kids in this morning. Everything was 50%+ off so they had fun picking up toys. So sad this will be the last time they go to a toy store. This was an institution that I loved as a kid. Going to the toy store was always a highlight of my day. Poor kids growing up now a days

You mean sitting in front of a mobile device swiping through items on Amazon won't be equally as exciting?

I bought my Super Nintento at Toys R Us back in the day. They're keeping the Toys R Us stores open here, though. Seems to be a different owner.

If I have to go to a toy store for some reason, it's gonna have to be BR.

I remember when you had to take the little paper ticket at Toys R Us to that shady window in the corner of the store where an employee was sitting in a tiny room full of nothing but video games that would hand you whatever it was you were going to buy.

As a kid I wanted nothing more than to get into that sacred room blanketed with vidya.
