Most MMO´s have the problem that they try, arrogantly, to beat WoW by doing exactly the same thing WoW is doing right now. WoW has stayed at the top for 10+ years now because they are fucking good at what they do, you are not going to beat them at their home ground. If you want to beat WoW, do something completely different and do it well.

Hell the only thing that is going to kill WoW is itself, which they have gone "Fuck you, I'm #1" and has done a shitty job releasing content since the Cataclysm expansion. Nobody will switch since they have invested a lot in their progress. And there isn't many new people playing anymore since: who would want to play a $60 10 year game with a sub fee? It's now at 7 million subs and that's like 7 times as much as its top competitor. Plus despite trying to make the game newbie friendly, it is still hard to play and the community is toxic as fuck. So yeah what's wrong with MMOs is WoW itself which as gone too big for its good and had everyone else trying to copy it to get some of that success. The same thing is happening with MOBAs which LoL is TEH LEADER, nobody is going to leave LoL to another MoBA since the other MOBAs are too similar and why would you switch with all that you invested.

Mmos problem is they are to messy and lack story /structure /rules. The ones I played are so free from a script they lack as a result

I think it's pretty much like this:

It pretty cool. I haven't tried out the new weapons, but I like the new riding mechanic that was added into the game.

On a whim I decided to get Sunset Overdrive.

On first glance it appears to be Saints Row meets Tony Hawk's Pro Skater meets Dead Rising, which is an interesting combination. You have to constantly be in motion or your abilities don't work, which probably wouldn't be that bad if my aim wasn't atrocious. Your health is also pretty low, so my go-to strategy of "run face-first at the machine gunner and kill him with a crowbar" works about as well as it would in real life.

I still think the next gen games are underwhelming so far and I don't see any reason to get a PS4 or XBone that soon.

I dropped my first nuke in Civ V and I awed at the beauty of the explosion, then I went "Oh shit" on how much damage it caused including hurting my nearby troops. >:(

Surviving at don't starve... It's getting pretty complicated so far ...

Looking at Dying Light. On one hand, it costs 60 dollars...

on another hand, it looks amazing.

I'm picking it up this afternoon. I'll let you know how it is.
