Sex cult stories tend to get my attention, even though I never watched Smallville. I'm not much of a Superman fan (he's just a big blue Boy Scout).

My son's birthday is coming up and he has me run an RPG for his buddies during their overnighter once we get it scheduled. The past few years I've been running Recon (a Vietnam War RPG) but this year his one friend who is all military is down in Bolivia, so instead of running that (without one of their squadmates) I'm running an old West End Games Star Wars adventure. I've been cramming on re-learning the rules. Luckily, the game is a fairly simple system.

The tough thing has been to get him to pick an era, since there is so much to choose from. They've decided to be Imperial Remnant TIE pilots in the "Legends", so I've decided to assign them as cocky young guys straight out of the Imperial Academy who are in a fleet out in the Rim. Word will come down that the Emperor has been killed by "terrorists" and they'll be itching to take the battle to them, only to have the Admiral in charge of the fleet do some pretty despicable things, leading to them (hopefully) wanting to get the hell out of there.

I'll let you know when we pick the date; scheduling kids events is a pain (my daughter's sleep over last weekend was almost a month after her actual birthday).

My daughters are up in Lacey’s room on the bed watching themselves in the mirror singing and dancing to shake it off by Taylor swift.

That's because 3 of those are mammals, who are biologically disposed to care for their young, while the 4th is essentially a miniature dinosaur, and reptiles could care less about their young, due to the whole "need to find food and avoid getting eaten" aspect of being a cold-blooded reptile.
