Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Thought it was quite enjoyable, even if the entire movie was one big waiting game for shit to pop off. The Orangutan is a boss, never trust a motherfucker with a scarred up eye.

St. Vincent

I really liked it. Reminded me a lot of Gran Torino. Without the Hmong gangbangers.

Primal Fear

Wish I didn't know how this ended prior to watching it, but even knowing the twists that were coming I was entertained and thought it was really good.

Misery

Seen it plenty of times but Shawn and I felt like watching. Great movie. James Caan is so hilarious in it. All of his fake laughs to keep Annie calm were great

The Guest

A guy shows up at a family's house telling them he was best friends and served with their son who died in Iraq. The tension starts building almost immediately and never really stops. He begins doing things to help out and protect the family and it just spirals from there.

Checked this out just because it was new. Wound up digging it in a big way. I loved the soundtrack too, it really added to the overall feel of the movie. It was very retro, synthy sounding and reminded me of the vibe that Drive's soundtrack gave off.

Sounds p. cool, especially the Drive-like soundtrack. I was just looking for a movie to watch tonight and might go with that one now

The first five minutes of Natural Born Killers. I couldn't stand it and had to turn it off

I wanted to argue that it was a decent to good movie when you first posted that, but upon reflecting I think every scene I thought I liked about the movie was actually me remembering scenes from either Kalifornia or True Romance instead.

I tried watching True Romance once but I can't stand Christian Slater. Something about his existence just bugs me.
