Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Misery
Seen it plenty of times but Shawn and I felt like watching. Great movie. James Caan is so hilarious in it. All of his fake laughs to keep Annie calm were great | |

The Guest
A guy shows up at a family's house telling them he was best friends and served with their son who died in Iraq. The tension starts building almost immediately and never really stops. He begins doing things to help out and protect the family and it just spirals from there.
Checked this out just because it was new. Wound up digging it in a big way. I loved the soundtrack too, it really added to the overall feel of the movie. It was very retro, synthy sounding and reminded me of the vibe that Drive's soundtrack gave off. | |

I wanted to argue that it was a decent to good movie when you first posted that, but upon reflecting I think every scene I thought I liked about the movie was actually me remembering scenes from either Kalifornia or True Romance instead. | |
