Ontario has been a mess for getting shots. We basically have to search for ourselves where clinics are going up. They have pop up clinics, clinics for AZ at drug stores.

My close college friend died last week of Covid and his brother told me. I'm devastated as we hung out regularly before Covid started.

However good news is, I got my first Pfizer shot yesterday. So far it's just mild arm stiffness. I can be waiting another 2-3 months before I get my second shot.

Very sorry to hear about your friend. As someone also in Ontario, they’ve really done a poor job at this. I’m not eligible right now but I know from people at work who are they can’t get ahold of anyone to book their shot. They call and call and call and get put on a list and then never booked.

I only got it because I live in a hot spot and had to wait in a line for hours. Some parts of the city have been ridiculous. Are you in Toronto or in a rural area? It's just been so poorly managed and there's no one central way to book for the shot. I've been looking on vaccine hunters to find my locations aka a private site lol.

And thanks guys.

Oof I wish you luck then. Though it looks like in May we'll get a bunch of vaccines and you should be able to book through the provincial site.

Kinda.

Walmart is getting rid of masks. Mostly. Customers no longer are required to wear them as of last Friday. And starting this Tuesday we no longer have to wear them so long we are vaccinated. So excited to finally ditch mine but relearning how to hide certain facial expressions I knew were hidden behind a mask with dopey customers or associates asking me dumb questions is going to be a little challenging (:

Work doesn’t ask us to wear ours anymore on our little check-in health screening app, but I’m still wearing mine at least for a couple weeks after I get my second shot.
