Today was a pretty smooth day on the trail. You mostly just spent the time waiting at Snake River Crossing, deciding who should lead you across the waterway to continue on your way to Fort Boise. You can practically see the Willamette Valley--all that stands between you and getting there is the Rocky Mountains...and this goddamn bad omen that is starting to hang over you like a horde of gnats! (Or maybe that is actually a horde of gnats...it’s been a while since any of you have really bathed properly.)

Anyway, everyone seemed to be in agreement that farlig is in the best position to lead the wagon train tonight, and Timmah had really proven himself in the past as a solid lookout, so he won the trust of the wagon train once again.

As for Badger, well...the evidence was clear. His dark energy needed to be expelled from the wagon train, especially before you all start your ascent over the Rockies.
