I'd still take Peyton as my #1 all time |
Swap him and Brady and IMO Tom would not be in the top 20.
Peyton was probably the greatest ever at reading the defense and knowing how to exploit its weaknesss.

And to me the Championship argument is so ridiculous.
By that Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino.
And a good example right now is Eli. There’s a lot of debate on if he should make the HOF. The guy has TWO SB MVPs. Meaning his performance in those games were better than anyone else in the game. And it was the biggest games.
It takes a team. | |

I legitimately think that if Brady is the best at any one aspect it’s exactly what you just said. He’s so good at reading defense

Anyway all of these arguments are of course ridiculous since Brady is VERY obviously the greatest and everyone here knows it
Just watch this lil vid. I watch it twice a day, once before bed and again over breakfast

Yeah I think Brady is very good at that. He’s a master of taking what the D is giving also. He doesn’t force things and he’s good at taking care of the ball.
But no one studied the game like Peyton did.

oh come on. Super Bowl MVP does not always go to the best player. often not even the best player in that game. the Giants entire starting D line was better then Eli in both those games.

No it doesn’t always go to the best player.
But it usually goes to the best individual performance. Eli played better than pretty much anyone else overall in both those games. You can disagree all you want but it is what it is. Eli played his ass off in those games.

Phil Sims, Mark Rypien, and Doug Williams also won superbowl MVP's and aren't in the HOF, unless Simms got in last year.

yeah but this is nothing new, if there's any question it always defaults to a QB, just like regular season MVP
same reason why Brady got it over James White a couple years back

I’m not an Eli fan by no means.
But two SB MVPs is enough to get you in IMO.

We'll see, I guess. You are probably right. Heck Simms has been nominated, and he wasn't impressive in any way.
