This is super tough. I honestly don't know I've ever made a top 5 seasons before. Mine look way different.

Top seasons:

1. Heroes vs Villains - great playing, interesting dynamics, best characters
2. Philippines - Penner/Malcolm, fun plays and fun moments
3. Cook Islands - My old school favorite. Aitu 4, fun characters (Cao Boi/Nate/Penner), beginning of legacies (Parv/Ozzy/Penner)
4. Micronesia - First FvF season so fun dynamic, great characters, great blindsides
5. Blood vs Water - Interesting dynamic, Tyson, bold gameplay


I think this is right. Not sure, honestly. I feel like my choices are weighted a lot by the people who played in them (go figure all Penner seasons are in my top 5). But I've also watched these ones over and enjoyed them the most. I've seen each of these 3+ times except BvsW.

I think Fiji, Cagayan, and Marquesas are up there for me. I think I even liked All Stars a lot aside from the personal bs and the fact that Rob exists and is a douche. I dunno. I like a lot of seasons others don't and I'm not really sure why. But the old seasons I also have a tough time enjoying just because it's not as flashy of gameplay and the videography isn't as good, but usually who goes far and the winner have a good deal of which I like. I need to process that a bit more.

I could have named all those. Except Gabon. I didn't know you liked Gabon.

Gabon was really great. The first HD season and you could really tell, the scenery was beautiful. Challenges were also REALLY unique due to the location. Almost no water challenges. It's a breath of fresh air after watching modern seasons

But the cast was full of hilariously dynamic characters. Not full of huge flashy gameplay and a bad winner but very much driven by emotional characters

I am the same as Vic! Blindsides are great but I remember the characters more. Because my top 2 were actually strategically boring seasons. I am sure HvV would be top 5 if I hadn't seen the spoilers.

Tocantines was anything but boring in my opinion. It's definitely a top half season. Good characters as well.

Ya I guess Tocantins was a little more back and forth compared to EI which was straight pagonging.

Honorable mentions: Vanuatu (knocked it off my list to make room for Fiji), HvV, Cagayan, Australia, Micronesia

Edit: Gonna add Millennials vs. Gen X to my honorable mentions because I loved a lot of the characters and it had a great winner, IMO.

I do have to give a shout out to Gabon because it's the season that got me back into Survivor for a bit and the reason I was still watching when HvV aired.

1. Kim 2. Sarah 3. Rob - If you just watched the season and did not know the history it is easy to see that he's the bomb. 4. Earl 5. Hatch Honorable Mentions: Yul - got helped out quite a bit by the twist. But used it very well. Tina - Mario Lanza (the funny 115) makes a great point about how Tina used the "Strategy is of the devil" strategy perfectly. Jeremy, PI Sandra, and Natalie A were p. good too. Look at that I did a top 10!
