is it good? I remember having fun with the first game, but it got very repetitive. |
you liked the 1st, you'll love the 2nd. | "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

Probably eventually like every game.
I've been playing it every day for 2 weeks and I'm only 60% done, I won't get bored of it any time soon.

gat-damn the gunplay is so good, just finished AN HONEST MISTAKE, seriously guns-blazing towards the end of that mission. I gotta say I really digg the story so far, deep in chapter 3, the gang playing both sides/families.
on a hunting/satchel note: I'm getting there, but man it's time consuming. and I guess I need that varmint rifle, FUCK crafting those small game arrows! |
this is exactly where I am story-wise atm. Really liking this chapter so far and the whole Romeo & Juliet side-story going on. For some reason it didn't occur to me that we'd move camp again but I'm glad, keeping things FRESH
|
Uncle's a fucking IDIOT! I knew the gang wouldn't be able to keep a low profile for long but I didn't expect things to start going south THIS quickly |

What did you find repetitive about the first one that made you dislike it? Out of curiosity.
There's a lot of variety in RDR2. A ton of side stuff to do, an absolutely gigantic map with lots of stuff to find. Tons of customization for Arthur from hairstyles to clothes to guns. I mean it's Rockstar, so yes, most missions are shoot the bad guys and run from the law. But a lot of missions are very fun and the story that ties them all together is incredible. |

hehe | Rodney is a great guy. Oops, nevermind he's a terrible human being.
He likes his sandwiches to be Turkey and Swiss. Triangle cut. Let vern have his crust. Poison the part Rodney eats.

KC you don't have the picture under your avatar.
The thing about this game is that when you're doing repetitive things, like hunting, or fishing, or just going from point A to B, there's always stuff happening, strangers doing random things, a wagon being robbed, some guy looking for gold, or something, which makes the game feel alive and not repetitive.

Traveling is probably the best part of the game. I'm gonna go on horseback/foot as long as I can to soak in the scenery.

It was a while ago but I just remember the missions were all kind of the same thing. But I guess that's common for a lot of games. I did enjoy sometimes just riding around on a horse.

If that is really your only gripe I think you will like this a lot more. As I said, a lot of the missions are going to be shooty shooty bang bang obviously but there's a ton of other variety involved and the free roam has an endless amount of stuff to do. |
