MacCready's the one who's kind of middle of the road. You just can't kill sandman kill someone in his presence, he doesn't like it. But he's cool with aggressive tactics and looting and the like.

Also, I finished the main storyline because I was spending way too much time playing it, and needed to get Christmas shopping done. I am kind of going through withdrawals, but I'm going to be okay. :P

Nick likes the stuff I do less than Preston who practically salivates every time I tell a random settler I'll see what I can do. Nick is awesome though. Great character. Doesn't complain too much. I threatened someone into lowering their weapon and Nick didn't like it, but that's pretty much the only time he's gotten mad.

He also has an interesting story and quest that he gives you once he thinks he can trust you.

Uh oh. I spent about an hour fighting gunners and fighting my carry weight limit in a single location, and when I tried to exit (via an elevator, the place wasn't cleared but i was sick of being in there), I got a crash to desktop. Tried again, same issue. I figured I could go without the painfully long trip to that hellhole and revert to an older save before I entered. BUT I've been in a very bad habit of quicksaving instead of actual-saving, so aside from a few normal saves inside of the area, the most recent save before entering was about 3 hours before. In that time I completed a major quest. Really don't want to redo, but really don't want to deal with a corrupted save either! Console commands out of the area worked, but I'm worried about corruption now.

I was able to leave the area in the oldest In-Area save so I guess I'll see what stuff I've gotten since then, console them in, then continue on that save. Very annoying/worrying though

I'll probably try going back to the ancient save. Sucks though because I remodelled Sunshine CoOp since then, twice! I'm going to see if there are any CTD fixes when I wake up later

was it Monsignor Plaza by any chance? I guess there were some issues with that place.

Nah, I've read people had issues with there, but I never poked around in there after discovering it. It was Vault 95. I didn't have a quest reason to be there, just stumbled upon it.

Oh boy save corruption sucks.

I usually save twice in the same place just in case.

I just ran into an Assaultron for the first time. Those things are tough to kill!

I'm liking this game despite my numerous complaints. But is anybody else hoping to see Obsidian do another game with this new engine? They could do some amazing things.

I can't imagine that Bethesda have any plans for the series in the foreseeable future. Depends on their opinion of New Vegas I suppose.

My weapons are so powerful, no Assaultron, Queen Mirelurk, or Deathclaw Alpha scare me anymore. :P But I'll admit, the first Assaultron I encountered gave me a hell of a time.

The assaultatrons seem to exclusively focus on fucking up Nick's day so they haven't been too scary since I've always kept my distance. Sentrybots tho, holy shit. The first time I encountered one, there were two. They're also probably why my save corrupted since they started my quicksave spam last night

Ever since I bought this legendary gun called Overseer's Guardian from one of the vaults nothing's been much of a problem for me. First time I ever spent big money on anything from a vendor instead of looting/killing for it, and it was so worth it. I'm assuming the Courser fight was supposed to be very difficult but I was able to take it out in like 15 seconds thanks to that gun

It's apparently the best gun in the game from the youtube videos I've seen. I've been too lazy to go buy it.
