I assumed that meant targeted for a lynch, but Beaver can clarify.
As for today's lynch, I'm still bothered by Curtis. Is there any chance he's been silenced in such a way that he can only post monosyllabically? I would think even if so, he wouldn't waste it on something like "hm" after being prodded, right? It's the same case being made against Wikey. Given Curtis has posted more recently,
##Lynch: Wikey |
that's just how curtis is |
That's how Wikey always is too in the beginning. Curtis isn't always like this but he usually gets a pass. Did he make any posts this round over 1 word ? |
I don't think so. | |

vic is probably busy playing his twitter big brother game #distracted |
That's even worse imo but I hope there are no more replacements since people seem to be making a big deal out if it and shouldn't be.

yeah true, but usually when curtis is like this early he starts to be really helpful once he has a reason to be

So why sign up?
My general feeling is that we have two types of inactives that we're discussing - completely silent inactives and those who've piped up once or twice to say little to nothing of relevance. Vernon and Vic are examples of the former, and Wikey and Curtis are examples of the latter. With players like Vernon having said nothing, a lynch on them seems like a shot in the dark, whereas putting in the bare minimum reads a little scummier to me. I agree having the votes spread around is dangerous, but I'm reluctant to move to someone like Vernon. Part of my reluctance is from having seen two people replaced already, and knowing that in BYOR everyone should have some sort of role. Is that logic flawed? |
i see where you're coming from, but my personal philosophy is that if someone is trying not to get too much attention, there's generally a good reason that doesn't have to be explicitly anti-town. could be scum, but could be someone super valuable, so i tend to want to revisit those people if they're still shitposting by day 5 or let vig deal with them if they feel so inclined

I'd rather lynch Vic if he's carousing other threads. He's got a history of going utr when he's scum.

I'm new here, so I wouldn't say for sure, but from what I could tell he hasn't posted on the FE forums since Brian announced the week delay on the game start.

Tricks, If there appears to be too much of a split I am OK with switching my lynch to Vern. But in the mean time Wikey feels off to me, which is IMO worse than simply not having showed up yet. I don't think splitting votes is ideal but what would we be learning moving forward if everyone just hopped on the a Vern train without voicing their opinion? It would kinda give the mafia the freedom to sit back.

this makes sense and tbh that was more about colby than it was you - you have a reason for voting wikey besides him being quiet whereas it felt almost like colby was trying to find any reason not to vote for vern or teebs

Idk how he is off to you - he does this every single game yet when he finally starts contributing he is usually pretty valuable town imo. Plus with his time zone he might not even see these votes and I hate lynching someone without even giving them a chance to claim. I just don't get this push based on your comment that "he's off." Very weak.

I don't think Vernon or Teebs are scum, at best they're inactive scum. Scum's usually not completely inactive, there's usually some sort of survival mechanism involved.
When I lynched Shawn he at least showed up.
Taking out Vernon or Teebs or Wikey today feels like taking out Tony yesterday.
