CHOICES:
- Sacrificed Arcadia Bay. Basically what it came down to for me was, what was the whole POINT of any of it if I didn't save Chloe? Why did I receive the powers if I'm supposed to never use them? Logically it was a poor decision because Chloe's probably doomed to die no matter what but I went with my HEART DAMMIT!

This is exactly what I settled on and why I settled on it. Originally I sacrificed her because I felt like it was what I was supposed to do, but saving Chloe was what I had actually wanted to do. But saving Chloe was far more satisfying IMO. I know the town probably got wiped out entirely and none of them deserved it, but I can bury my head in the sand and pretend there were survivors...
Chloe and Max getting to leave and have a fresh start and saying fuck destiny is a lot more rewarding to me than watching her get buried as no one knows what really happened. Half the people at her funeral had no reason to even KNOW Chloe if that whole week was erased. I feel better knowing my choices ended up genuinely mattering, and that the good stuff that happened actually did happen.
Kinda curious if the funeral ending was different for different choices. Like if Frank showed up even in games where Frank died, or Kate. Also wonder if Warren and Max were more affectionate in games where people accepted Warren's advances |

I didn't save Alyssa :(
I didn't see or hear her! I heard someone call for help and cry but it sounded more generic than Alyssa's voice and I thought it was the girl crying over the body. I might end up replaying that part just to get it in because I would feel like my game is incomplete saving her only 4/5 times. Saved everyone else I cold save.
David got a scar. Dunno how I could have avoided that and I was very frustrated during that part so fck it. He looks badass like that anyway and it didn't end up happening.
I didn't tell him the truth. Originally I had but I reversed. He was too sad and despondent and I didn't want him to hurt himself and I didn't want him tried for murder. Jefferson deserved to die but David didn't deserve to suffer.
Hugged Warren because "Leave" just sounded cold, but I didn't want to kiss him. I don't ship it. They can be friends tho
Told Frank the truth. Cruel not to. He deserved to know.
Convinced Joyce to forgive David. CRUEL NOT TO. Getting him kicked out of the house is actually my most regretted decision I ever kept.

- Saved Chloe/destroyed Arcadia. I haven't seen the other ending but...I didn't mind this one tbh. Sure it's fucked up to kill all those people but there was no one I cared about as much as Chloe, not even close. The whole game to me was about their friendship so I figured finally leaving that town together like they had always talked about was a pretty poignant way to end it. And like Boc said, I'm not sure what the point of everything would've been if Chloe just dies in the bathroom anyway. I could tell that was the option they probably wanted you to go with but NAW! COULDN'T DO IT!
- David had the scar
- Saved all four people
- Told David about Chloe. REAL SAD! David was a hero in this episode like I figured he'd be. I felt guilty about fucking up their marriage earlier. David killed Jefferson, I assume he does each time you tell him the truth? If so, I'm not sure why these are two different major choices
- Tried to mend Joyce/David because ^
- Didn't tell Frank the truth because he's dead oops
- Hugged Warren. I was praying they weren't gonna kiss automatically, would've felt cheesy to me. When I had the option it was a no brainer
- I think that's everything??
Really good overall. I loved all the dream sequences, each segment was unique. Loved replaying the hallway scene in reverse with the same song playing, and loved the other same song playing at the very end
Perfect game |

KC mentioned this but what I would've REALLY liked to see is how specifically the storm effects each major character, and for all of your rewinds to tally and kill/impact a certain amount of characters depending on how many you used. Like if you were sparse with your rewinds then the storm only kills like...Alyssa and Frank. O well no harm done. But if you tried to be selfish and tried to get everyone to like you like AltMax says in the diner, or tried too hard to make the right choice 100% of the time, then you see the storm wipe through Chloe's house, the school, the diner, etc, with different characters you care about inside. I would've preferred that |

I'd have liked that too, but this way I can go LALALA THEY ALL SURVIVED LALALA.
Plus tbh I'd be pretty sad if Frank and Pompidu definitively died. Almost as much as Joyce and David being confirmed dead. They're pretty great if you convince them to not make you kill them in self defense
Speaking of, if you only injured Frank is he still at the Two Whales? |

Part of why I didn't like the Save Arcadia ending is because you don't see the characters living their lives really. The focus on Chloe's funeral is fitting, IMO, because the story is about Chloe and Max's friendship/love, but I feel like saving Arcadia Bay option should have a stronger focus on what you saved instead of what you lost. I guess you could say the same for the Save Chloe ending, but that still ties in to all the things that Chloe and Max said they would do together: leave Arcadia Bay behind and travel the roads together. |

Just watched Chloe's death ending. They definitely worked on that one a lot more, I think it was like 3x as long. It was sad but as it was ending, it just felt kinda empty to me tbh. I think I prefer mine, I just wish they put as much effort into it as the other. Would've had a way stronger impact if we saw the other characters around town in their final moments before the storm hit, like David/Joyce reuniting in the diner and embracing just before it gets wiped out or something. Kate in the hospital as the storm approaches, meaning that she's about to die after surviving her suicide attempt. GRIM! I wish they did that |

So I finally started this. It took me a while to start it since I don't really relate to a teenage girl photographer but it was actually really good. The whole twist is pretty interesting and lets me Double Guess all my decisions (:
|
Ratted out Nathan. Kind of crazy that chick ended up being your best friend.
Comforted the mean girl. Idk because I would be a consider photographer teenage girl.
Defended Kate. I really didn't want to but she made me feel so guilty for not doing it so I did.
Defended Chloe. The step-dad is pretty creepy. I definitely didn't feel like covering my tracks when I snooped through his stuff. He's GOTTA KNOW SOMEONE IS COMING FOR HIM!
Also keep in mind I replayed these decisions like 5 times before eventually making up my mind.
The thing that is really cool about this game is how open it is and how much exploring you could do (like how you were supposed to know that girls birthday. I just guessed it right). Its kind of overwhelming but it is fun if you are in the mood. |
I have a few hours before I have another responsibility so I will see about knocking out another episode. Seems like it only goes up from here.
