Upon returning to camp, Vic once again had to do damage control regarding switching his vote at Tribal Council, explaining to Leos that, had he voted against Matt, JJ would have been safe without needing to play an idol. The next morning, at Hunahpu, Hot Cocoa attempted to lead an effort to improve their shelter roof, but quickly stopped to take a nap, much to the ire of his hard-working tribe. At Hero Arena, Curtis, upon seeing that his wife had been voted out, called out the men's alliance on Coyopa, while Leos publicly apologized to Curtis for being unable to take care of his wife, as he had promised him on Exile Island, garnering suspicion from Leos' allies on Coyopa.
Coyopa won rock-paper-scissors to choose their duelist; Outlast volunteered to compete, thinking he could beat his father, Brian. Outlast's assumption was correct, sending Brian back to Exile Island. Outlast chose Vic to join his father on Exile Island, and Coyopa, with their first challenge victory under their belt, chose the fishing gear over comfort. Back at Hunahpu, a scorned Curtis outed Leos' past baseball career and derogatory remarks against minority groups, alienating his girlfriend DD from the tribe. At Exile Island, Brian shared the idol clue with Vic, and the two bonded despite their vastly different ways of life. At Coyopa, Leos effectively used the fishing gear to provide for his tribe, but Matt attempted to convince the guys to vote him out for his negativity.
With the score tied 2-2, Christian and Miko edged out Outlast and Vernon to win Hunahpu's third consecutive immunity challenge. Miko immediately called Coyopa to rally against Leos, calling him a racist and a bigot, and Leos retaliated by threatening to fight Miko. Back at camp, Leos attempted to throw Matt and Raptor off his scent by claiming he was going to blindside Drr while, in actuality, he and the other men would send Matt home. After Leos revealed his idol to Vic, Vic decided that Leos had to go for his volatility and for making a secret alliance with JJ, and attempted to convince Vernon and Outlast to blindside Leos. Ultimately, despite some accidental tip-offs at Tribal Council, Leos was blindsided, leaving the game with an idol in his pocket.
