It's not like GoT I just said that to validate myself. Decent suspense lots of different minor characters. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

I will be watching the season finale tonight.
I am sad that its over but I will enjoy having 2-3 hours a day open up again. And when I started it I was worried that I wouldn't get i done by 31st (:

Is Stannis Dead?
The battle episode was tough to watch since the dark setting was difficult to see. I figured he died and thought I saw the scene but who knows. Maybe it'll be mentioned in this episode. I actually disliked the battle episode. My favorite part of the show is the elaborate story line and characters and this one just felt like one (though I guess it is understandable. |

It was quite good. I think people hyped it up a bit too much because it took a while to get into. Season 2 was a lot better than Season 1.
|
Everything in King's Landing and beyond the Wall in S2 were great. So was the stuff with Ayra and Tywin. Dany's S2 stuff was much better than the S1 stuff which kind of fell very short of...anything at all.
It's good though. Tyrion is my favourite character and I'm glad he survived. |

For me it's the opposite I loved season 1 much more than 2. I found 2 a bit lacklustre and stagnant at times minus the epicness of Blackwater. Dany in season 2 was unbelievably slow except near the end of season 2. But yeah Tyrion and Arya are my favourites. |

I guess I can do better than that.
|
Season 1:
STUFF I LIKED
Tyrion/Catelyn and unearthing the assassin plot
Ned's death
The stuff with Varys/Littlefinger
Drogo
Syrio
Jon Snow and the Wall
STUFF I DISLIKED
Most of Dany's plot
Drogo's death
Almost everything that Ned did at King's Landing
Almost everything at Winterfell
Sansa
Robert
Most of the accents in general
WINTER IS COMING i get it
Season 2:
STUFF I LIKED
Almost everything at King's Landing
Every scene Tyrion was in
Beyond the wall...in places. I didn't like the earlier stuff as much as I liked the later stuff with Jon missing
Arya/Tywin
Jaqen (I tell a lie. My actual favourite)
Bronn
Renly and the battle for the throne
The battle of blackwater
Qarth
Sandor
Pretty much all of the last two episodes
STUFF I DISLIKED
Stannis
Sansa
Stannis
Every scene that Theon was in
Theon's stupid unexpected betrayal
Stannis
Robb Stark in general really. Not a fan
That tall woman I don't even remember the name of. I found her aggravating.
Stannis
Renly's death (and not because of the pacing. Just because of everything about it)

That's a terrible opinion but it's at least an original opinion. Take a shiny karma point. | |

I like both seasons for different reasons, but I think I'd give the slight edge towards S2. Ned's storyline definitely was the highlight of S1, but I feel like S2 did a great job at expanding the story. The only storyline I didn't care for was Dany's. I definitely preferred her S1 arc. Her entire S2 storyline can pretty much be summed up as "she loses her dragons, she gets back her dragons". I mean really, besides the part about Jorah securing a ship at the very end, there wasn't much else that happened.
And I really enjoyed Arya in S1 but her storyline in S2 was infinitely more awesome due to the Jaqen/Tywin scenes.
ALSO, I agree with Dylan about Blackwater. That was actually the lowlight of S2 for me. I liked Tyrion's battle speech, some of the Hound stuff, and some of the stuff with Cersei, and the wildfire was p. cool I guess, but other than that it was pretty meh. |
