Got my first shot today

Damn, new article was just published today and the spread here is third worst in all of Europe, with tiny countries like San Marino and Andorra beating us. What a shit show.

There's also a third wave coming that could be worse than the second. The amount of deaths is going down and vaccine is on the way I think, but you still get weird and mental shit from this stuff after you've had it.

J&J is on pause here now because of blood clots. We were supposed to start mass vaccinations with this one. Astra Zeneca has also been a disaster so that one's also been on pause.

How do I convince people I know that the virus is far worse than the vaccine lol?

yeah like I get why they had to yank it but at the same time they most likely cost more lives by doing that than keeping it in circulation, since the headline alone is gonna scare a bunch of people away if they were on the fence about getting vaxxed. Despite the fact that it was a literal one in a million occurrence rate

Less than a 1 in a million chance for developing blood clots as a side effect, and I read a couple of things that suggest that it may be due to being on birth control. That's far less than the litany of side effects you hear quickly at the end of any medication commercial. However, since the vaccine is approved on emergency approval rather than having been fully approved, I think that the regulations require pulling it for now.

In a lot of the US there is more supply than demand currently.

One of my coworkers had to leave in the middle of our staff meeting today because his sister-in-law is about to die of COVID. She just had twins last week and the dad is out of the picture. She has four children. I guess it's looking like my coworker and his wife are going to have to take the kids.

This is a huge reminder that this pandemic is far from over, and even if it seems like things are back to normal, it's definitely not the case for many. I'm so devastated for his family.
