I'm currently watching a cop dust my back entryway for prints because some punk(s) broke into my house this afternoon and stole my computer, Xbox 360, and PS3. I may not be as active until the computer gets replaced.

Sorry to hear man. I assume the cops did this but contact all local pawn shops within the area. Look at craigslist/offerup/facebook groups in your are for people selling that shit, especially the laptop. Hopefully some of them have some identifying marks (the laptop 4 sure). Usually thieves are dumb and will try to get some cash off of it. Had people break into cars and steal MTG cards in my state and sell them to gaming stores and get caught.

That sucks! We had some kid rifle through our car the other day, but we picked them up on our security cameras and passed that on to the cops. They hit a number of cars in the neighborhood.

If you don't have a security system, Arlo is pretty awesome. Wireless cameras with USB rechargeable batteries, no service cost unless you want a lot more cloud storage space (it's not needed) and you can have up to five cameras.. The newer better quality ones are four cameras and base station for like $650. It can send alerts to your phone and have audio pickup and speakers so if you spot someone you can bitch at them over your phone.

If I owned the house, I'd have a security system. Problem is, I'm just renting and the owners don't want to pay (or allow) for the installation of a system. So, I'm out of luck, unfortunately.

Do the security system, yourself. Arlo is totally wireless and you can pick it up and move it to your next place.

yeah, not going to be great.

When we bought the current house, we had to remodel it. Part of the work was updating the HVAC, the day after it was complete, the downstairs furnace, and the condensers for both up and down were stolen, along with a lot of my dad's tools.

Thankfully it was decent insurance and covered replacement cost.

We were still hacked off about it though.
